The location in the photo I believe is where they were captured. The shoot out was across the street from me at Rick's Foods.
TV and Hollywood 9mm sound fx come from much more powerful rounds EQ'd to sound like cannons.
They were not your garden variety methheads. Most around here are harmless break in artists and losers. These guys were carrying guns and probably more like distributors. The word is the police were watching the drug deal go down when the two sides, buyers/sellers got into a heated argument. That is when the plain clothes guys moved in the druggies drew on the police no questions asked and it was on.
I am just glad some more dirt bags are off the street. I figure the only reason the court I live in had not been hit in because all the units face each other. Too many eyes for anyone to try anything but if someone wanted to it's not like the flimsy doors here would stop anyone.

In any case, glad the incident is over and the OP is OK.
Everything is a valid conspiracy theory unless its mine right? I simply could not think of any other type of war I might sleep through here in America so that was why the title.
You obviously are either not married or else your wife and mother have never met.
Possible alternatives to a thread about how you sleep so heavily that gunshots didn't wake you:
"I'm an extraordinarily heavy sleeper."
"I slept through the sound of nearby gunshots"
"World War III"
One of those three titles isn't a good option.
I could have just titled the thread, "I slept though a shoot out" right? Well News papers could add bare bones headlines too but they don't.
Ah. There's the admission that these hyperbolic thread titles are just a cry for attention. Thanks!

I could have called my thread about pickles "We're all gonna die!!!", but instead I called it Pickles. It got some pretty good responses anyway.

I've keenly studied that very topic. Please allow me to clarify. A crime occurred in close proximity to the OP's home. Several gunshots were fired. The OP slept through these very loud noises. The title was inspired by the idea that if a second civil war were to occur, which would surely cause a cacophony of gunshots, the OP sleeps so heavily that he would likely sleep through it. While a title like "I'm an extraordinarily heavy sleeper" would have sufficed, the OP felt that a more eye-catching title would garner more responses than something that would more literally describe the situation.
