The Official 2012 NHL Stanely Cup Finals Thread: Part II

AHAHAHA, Rags suck, CRYERS OUT! Hopefully the Kings will get killed by the Coyotes (two truly bizarro teams to even make it that far in the first place.) AND Ultimately the DEVILS with MARTY THE GOD OF ALL GOALIES will win their 4th cup! The end. Btw, the hand shake at the end of last night's game was one for the ages, ahhh yes to see the Cryers fail again, and so hard against the Devs who worked their asses off, didn't have to stoop to their dirty, classless, level, and won in style.

Something to keep in mind about the "bizarro" Kings...
- If they had 2 more points in the regular season, they would have been Division Champs and a 3-seed.
- Despite having a team that struggled to score goals for most of the year, the outstanding play of Quick all year long kept them in contention. The Playoffs have just been an extension of the season he had. There's a damn good reason why he's a Vezina finalist.

As for Brodeur, he will be the 4th best goalie of the final 4 teams.

"Take it personally"? Now how could we ever take a classy blog like that personally?! :D

Actually, I got a few chuckles out of it...

Haha. ThePensBlog obviously has severe bias, but they usually write some entertaining and funny articles.

I think after everything is said and done, the Flyers still made a bunch of good moves for the future of their team. Unfortunately (for them, not for me) I don't think one of those moves was signing Bryzgalov to that big contract. Then again, what choices did they really have?

Based on games played, it looks like he was the 3rd string goalie (behind Vokun and Neuvirth) for the Caps during the season. The guy is getting the job done!

Holtby is actually up from the Hershey Bears (my number one favorite hockey team, the one I first saw as a kid). Actually the only reason I sometimes follow the Caps. He was the Hersey starter until getting called up because of injuries. Then he goes and stands on his head.

Take a close look at his mask, it reflects the Hershey area and not the Caps. The roller coaster is for HersheyPark and amusement park in Hersehy PA and the bear in the coaster on the left side of the mask is for the Bears. Would have been cooler if the bear more resembled Cocoa the Bear, the Hershey Bear mascot with a hockey helmet on his head, but...

Seems to me like alot of ticked off Penguins fans had alot of time on thier hands not watching thier team and watching ours. And anything said about us just makes them look that much worse because we took them out.

Cool. Thanks for the background on Holtby.

Your "star" player and guys like Rinaldo did a fine job making your team look bad. Seems like everyone forgot about the Pens already, except Jagr. :)

Oh yeah, forgot to mention NBCSP is showing KAZ/USA right now, just after I was talking about how the games were hard to come by on TV here.

Faulk scores as I type this, converting a TO into a slapshot goal dancing around the KAZ defense. 2-1 USA.

I totally forgot Jack Johnson was traded from the Kings, so I couldn't figure out how the heck he was playing in this game.
