The Official 2012 NHL Stanely Cup Finals Thread: Part II

Boudreau did enough in Anaheim to get extended through 2015. He did have them playing well down the stretch, but I think they were in too big of a hole by the time he came aboard. No word on Selanne, but Koivu re-upped for another year.

Mostly quiet in Pittsburgh outside news about Michalek having hip surgery and the Staal talk picking up.

Plenty going on in Philly, but I'll let the Flyer fans bring that up.

Hopefully the Flyers guys chime in. I would, but they'd just accuse me of having nothing better to do than make fun of the Flyers. :)

I like hockey, so I'll talk about any team or any league. I sure wish the IIHF tourney started after the SCF so we'd have more hockey to watch and talk about.

What are the big goings-on in Philly that you're talking about?

I hope Mike spills it...I know Bryz is unhappy with the "scrutiny" in Philly.
There are very passionate fans in Philly, NYC, & Boston.
I would assume Phoenix was "friendlier"(?).

There's also the obligatory "Who Should Be Back/Who Should Go" articles...this talk happens after every Playoff exit.
Jagr may be leaving...

That's all I have. Mike?

Who cares if the shirts were a giveaway or not? Are you saying if the team asked for a "white out" and did not give away white shirts that it wouldn't have happened?

I realize Phoenix is not a hockey hotbed and they were last in the NHL in attendance, but why pick on the people who are going to the games? Seems like minutia to me to brag about how fans in your city would wear white if the shirts were given away or not.

That's exactly what I'm saying.

I'll tell you why: because I miss the Quebec Nordiques, and their fans will all provide their own t-shirts, too.
