wow. watch out for game 7.

Indeed. Yet another tough, back-and-forth game between Boston and Washington. Each game has been decided by one goal. Both teams had opportunities to win in regulation, but Boston capitalized on a turnover by Backstrom early in OT, and Seguin caught Holtby cheating and put in the game winner. Tough loss for the Caps, as they generally played well, but Boston just did it a bit better in the end.

I reeeeeeally didn't want to go to Game 7 in Boston, but it is what it is. The Caps have won two out of three in Boston this round, so they can do it, but it's gonna be the hardest game they've played in two seasons (since losing in Game 7 to Montreal in the 2010 playoffs)... I hope they've got the guts to stand up to a tough Boston team in what will be a rabid environment.

I think I'm going to be hungover in the morning. lol. Why did I crack open the moonshine, why? Stupid, stupid. lol. Woooooooooooo. You should never drink something in a mason jar. But oh well, still celebrating the win. I got salsa on my bobby clarke jersey.

Well said - this has been a tight series as the 1-goal differences and the overtimes and the 3 games each attest. I am not questioning the Caps guts any more - this game will more likely turn on who capitalizes on the others mistake, who makes the spectacular play, who gets a favorable call from the regs and/or who hits the post square so that the puck bounces out or who hits it on the inside of the post so it bounces in.

So just heard that Alfie may be back for game 6 against the Rangers. And No action is being taken against Neil. Clean hit. And to cap it off... we have an eligible rookie just got in from Sweden after a stellar season in the elite league. ... Jacob Silfverberg. He is going to be in the lineup for game 6. :D

Crazy series so far...

The Philadelphia/Pittsburgh series that no one could have foreseen how that one went with so high scoring a series and well... Pittsburgh was the favorite to win it all (not in my book).

Washington/Boston and the 1 goal games. Holtby is the big surprise and Boston just can't figure him out well enough to 'capitalize' and close this one out.

Ottawa/New York series... Uh, say again who is leading this one???

New Jersey/Florida - same thing.

Flyers West(LA)/Luongo chokes again(Vancouver) - well, we kind of expected this to happen since we are talking about Vancouver here, right?

Chicago/Phoenix... 5 OT games so far???

Detroit/Nashville... I called this one! Dang Detroit fans here at work are so quiet this morning.... actually they are all talking about how the Tigers did this weekend....

San Jose/St. Louis... Hitch sure has the Blues defense running on all cylinders right now. They are probably going to wind up in the finals.

Don't even know what to post in this thread anymore after the Pens lost. I guess I'll see how the current round ends up and decide who I'm going to cheer for! Anyone but the Flyers, Bruins, or Caps in that order ;)

I was sitting over at my Pop-in-law's watching the game and laughing at all the Pens fans.

The Flyers look,....well,...I guess more focussed than last year. It seems like the puck is hitting their tape and sticking as opposed to bouncing off last year.
