The Official 2012 NHL Stanely Cup Finals Thread

Whoever plays the Capitals in the second round should have a nice book on Holtby by now. Rebounds. Lots of them. He leaves them all over the place and Washington isn't doing a thing about them. Boston did nothing in that series to take advantage of it. Shame on Boston.

Tim Thomas is something of an unusual story, in that his game and his marketability seem to have peaked a bit later in his career. That said, he's definitely still got at least a few years of excellent hockey left in him. With the Bruins still very much a team that can compete for the Stanley Cup for the next few years (unless they blow up their team in the offseason), are you really ready to see them move Thomas?

I can't really see the Bruins move Thomas either. He's staying put unless he decides to retire for some reason.

It would seem fitting that these fans can stay home now and sulk 'till next year!!
There's should be no accord for this behavior and would always hope that more would speak out against it rather than stay silent. :scowl:

To feel comfortable enough to use their accounts to spew crap like this speaks to the highest level of ignorance!

Sorry if this pisses people of but it should.

So according to the Flyers website,...with the Caps take down of the Boohooins,...the Flyers Do Not have to face the Rags in the Semis should they beat the Sens tonight.

Kind of a relief,...but at the same time. I think a Flyers/Rangers playoff series would be just as entertain as a Flyers/Penguins series.

Still stand by my assessment that the Flyers can ill afford to take any team they should face in the Semis for granted.

Well now,...these sorts of racial slurs were lobbed at Simmonds in the preseason. Nothing new,...but very unfortunate. People get mad and stop thinking about how powerful words and insults actually are.

To those kids who have their twitter ID's and pics posted on the Internet with those embarrassing racist comments, good luck finding work. Eat a feces sandwich. Anyone else feel the same way they do, go to my profile page and block me from all interaction with you.

Congrats to Washington. Your defense was great but your rookie goalie was better. Best of luck in the playoffs (except to Ovie!), please know that not all Boston fans are ignorant racists.
There should be no room for bigotry in professional sports and I hate what some a$$holes have tweeted about the winning goal. May the best team win.

Lundqvist wins another for the Rangers. Sens outplayed them, just a hot goalie knocks them out again.

Agreed. Senators spent the entire third period in the Rangers zone, but they just couldn't get past Lundqvist.

I was really hoping the Caps wouldn't play the Rangers in the second round, just because of Lundqvist. But if the Caps can beat Boston, they can beat the Rangers, although it's going to take another strong showing from Holtby and the Caps' checking lines, as well as a lot more from Ovechkin (although not having to contend with Chara will certainly help that).

I don't think all hockey fans or all Bruins fans are represented by these sorry individuals. I surely hope for the best in people...better than that anyway.
