That was quite the game. Flyers just seem unbeatable at Consol. We'll see if the Pens turn it around next time.

Really excited for NYR/OTT tomorrow. Rangers just finished negotiating the contract for Kreider and he practiced with us today, so odds are you'll see him in Game One. Not sure how he'll mesh with the rest of the team, but I don't see Torts overplaying him.

Centre of the Universe is a pathetic ripoff of Boston's Hub of the Universe.

Is there some sort of international trademark court that we can haul Toronto into? :D

I think philly should be called comeback city. We always play from behind, not to mention the 3/0 comeback in the playoffs against the bruins.

Exciting finish in NSH. I wouldn't be surprised if Shanahan gives Weber a game in the cooler for those two head shots (mainly the second one that landed - the first one established intent, which is something Shanahan has been looking to this year) on Zetterberg at the horn.

Way to go Philly. The Pens forgot to play all three periods and a good team like the Flyers made them pay for it. I figured the Pens to win this one and lose Friday, but now I think Philly goes home 2-0.

I think philly is just really deap and has alot in the tank as the game wears on. If bryz can hold it together and we continue to make games play long we have a good chance. If bryz falls apart or the pens blow us out early we could be in trouble. But I do think bryz has a shutout this series. That seems to be the question, what bryz will show up?

All I hear is "Wah, wah, wah. We lost. Wah, wah, wah."

Nashville is 4-1 against Detoit in Nashville and is up 1-0 in the series. The rest of it doesn't matter.

Honestly, I don't expect any further penalties past the roughing call at 20:00 in the third.

Nashville 3 Detroit 2 the officials a big fat ZERO!

And no I'm not blaming the officials for the outcome or using them as an excuse, both teams were victims of official malpractice tonight. Lousy game in Nashville tonight, and I'm not referring to the outcome. When are the officials going to realize that fans aren't interested in watching them? There were 17 PENALTIES in this one, absolutely ridiculous. Both teams and the fans were the victims, Betman is still a jerk. The Wings out played the Preds for much of the game, the preds got some lucky bounces including a goal off of Stuarts skate. But unless the refs keep up that BS it will be hard to judge the series by that one, nether team could get any flow going.

One other note, Webers cheap head shot on Zetterberg after the horn was bush league. Any other player would end up sitting a couple of games for that BS. I didn't realize Weber was such a spineless dirty player?

Jordan Staal was an inch from winning that game ;)

Whose doing the Wah, wah wah"? Webers hit was BS plain and simple, it was a cheap spineless gutless shot after the horn. If Bateman had a spine he'd be sitting a couple of games, that was a intentional headshot that was was not part of the play. There is no excuse or place for that. If Bertuzi did the same to Weber you'd be calling for his head on a platter. :rollno:

But taking a run at a team captain's back after the horn, and Burtuzzi (who should already not be playing after his stunt a few years back) throwing punches at Gaustad while two officials have him pinned against the board shows class? Make sure your fingers are clean before pointing them at others.

The officials blew it and lost control.

Weber grabbed Zetterbergs helmet from behind after the horn and slammed his head against the wall, and your excusing that?:rollno:

What a classless homer:eyebrow:

Bertuzzi did his time, and paid his dues to society in both civil and hockey court.

I have to admit, when the Pens went up 3-0, I was afraid it would be a blowout. Regardless of how the series ultimately turns out, I really have to hand it to the Flyers for fighting back and not giving up. Good character-building game for the youngsters. And it was great to see Briere recapture some of his playoff magic. But they can't continue to dig that deep of a hole and expect to climb out of it against a powerhouse like the Pens.

Unlike the Detroit/Nashville game, I thought the officials really let them play tonight. They called 3 minors on the Flyers and 1 on the Pens. They could have called more on both teams, so I was pleased to see that they didn't get carried away with the whistles.

Yet YOU think what Bertuzzi did was all sweetness and light. i think this is indeed a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Bertuzzi shouldn't be allowed in the NHL, plain and simple. He intentionally ruined another man's life and career, and you're excusing that?

Weber roughed him up, sure, I'll give you that. He even got a 2 min roughing call out of it. But I'm not ceding that he should be suspended. If you take a run at a team's captain, deal with the consequences. Further than that, he left the ice on his own power. The incident didn't cause an injury, so why should Weber miss time if Zetterberg doesn't?

I'm not excusing it, but I'm also not using something that happened in 2004 on another team to excuse an intentional cheap shot at the head of another teams star. Bertuzzi was on three other teams before the Wings took a chance on him. And he's kept his nose clean since being reinstated. And teams all over the league including the Wings take shots after the horn, I personally think the league needs to clamp down on it more.

But in this age of concussions to grab a guys helmet and slam it against the wall from behind should result in a suspension of at least a game. Maybe two games, If Weber has a history of being a spineless A ** like tonight. He could have ended Zetterbergs career :rollno:

hey, i am not excusing it either...BUT who knows what went on during the game. maybe Zetterberg had it coming.

and i notice you do not address the point of Bertuzzi punching the nashville player (had to look it up...Gaustad) while he was pinned against the board by 2 officials.

look, no harm, no foul. you are still in a good position to win the series, (as are we)...you just want Weber suspended so you have a better chance of winning...And you call JP58 a homer?
