The Official 2012 NHL Stanely Cup Finals Thread

Just Glancing over this thread. I can't really stay current considering my situation of having to watch the games well after they are played, but I knew there would be lotsa flack of the Briere goal.

In RE: The Briere offsides goal,...yeah,...I'll admit it was offsides,...what of it?

Hockey karma is a *****. As far as I'm concerned; any breaks the Flyers catch against the Pens are owed.

The Vitale cheapshot not withstanding,...my grudge with ****sburgh goes deep.

Flyers No Goal Call(1-7-2010) - YouTube

Suck it you cheating birds,...the true test of any hockey team is how they handle adversity and the Flyers perform swimmingly in adverse conditions. Down 3 Zip going into the 1st intermission,...no big deal.

Hope Sids got his golf clubs ready. The Flyers have more heart than the Pens could ever hope to have.

I just bought a Talbot Flyers jersey on eBay. Overnight shipping so it's here for the game tomorrow night.. Heading to the barber now to get my 1992 Jagr haircut.

-Mike

I wish this was a reality,...you'd be my hero Mike.

That sells it,...next Flyers jersey I buy will be a Talbot Jersey,...I don't care about his Pens pedigree,...that guy is a beast.

I seriously don't care what any Pens fan thinks of what I have to say. The Pens are cheats plain and simple and I hope they choke on their own ***** hard this series.

PS; I could of sworn the Dupuis goal was a blown icing call,...but will admit that I couldn't be bothered to check the replay and see if they A) Negated the icing,...or B) the Puck was touched by a Flyer as it went out of the Pens D zone. The entire time leading up to the Dupuis goal I was screaming at my computer screen that it was Icing

Either way I don't care. Linesman and Refs blow calls all the time. Worked out in the Flyers Favor,....as far as I'm concerned,...we still aren't squared up. Wanna fight about? That hollier than thou enough for you?

So tit for tat. Suck a duck.

Haha warwick.hoy firing on all cylinders and coming with the thunder! I'm afraid to see how you react if the Flyers lose a game. :D

No, no, I won't turn coat on "my" Pens. What I do want to watch is great hockey and I got that in game one. It didn't turn out how I would have preferred, but that's OK. The Flyers had some calls go against them too, but they managed to win, so any whining Pens fans can shut the heck up.

Time for some free hockey in Boston... this has been a tough game. Caps haven't mustered much in the way of shots, but Holtby has been a freak in net. This is gonna be a crazy series...

And did I hear right? The guy started his season in the ECHL?

And now my team Hershey is scrwed because not only is their starting goalie up playing starting goalie for Washington, their callup from the ECHL who took over the starting job got injured. Not a good time to be a goalie in the Washington system. :atoz:

This made my morning. I'm a little hungover from our gig last night, got a little crazy after. And now I have a long work day ahead of me. This made it alittle better. lol

Yeah, me too. I really don't know what to expect. I can see the Pens getting rolled up hard, or rolling up Philly hard. I think someone is going to get beat good tonight. Maybe it just ends up being Asham on Schenn.

-Mike

We'll have to see if Bylsma has figured out how to keep Crosby away from Schenn and Malkin away from Couturier tonight. That's going to be the key for the Penguins. Those two rookies are frustrating the two Penguin stars. With them held in check, the Penguins are in trouble.

The Penguins will also need to watch Briere's line and try to keep up with them. Briere made them look silly Wednesday night skating trhough and around them for that second goal. By the time Jagr, Hartnell, and Schenn combined for that sweet goal #3, the Penguins' heads were on swivels.

Bylsma made some changes to the power play. Umm Dan....that wasn't really a problem buddy. Hopefully he figured out a way to make them play 60 minutes and respond to a challenge. Philly is going to come out tonight and stick it to Pitt from the opening drop of the puck.

Ha,...I was pretty drunk when I posted that this morning. In fact I might still be slightly drunk. Need to go back to bed.

I was pretty emotional,...I'm just not used to being on the other side of the "catch a break" fence as important ones that have an actual impact on the game like on the Briere Goal are few and far between.

I know I know,...still plenty of hockey to be played. That Game 1 was a great one though. I hope Giroux can start finding some space and time out there. The Flyers need to establish more of a physical presence.

you're just crybabyin' because you don't get the advantage of weber being out. i've watched the whole incident and zetterberg got what he deserved.

as far as just coming out and dropping the gloves.... well, maybe we should activate Tootoo. let's see how quick they would be to drop the gloves on him...:D

Has nothing to do with it.

I just think in this era when concussions are ending careers the league should protect its stars. You obviously think spineless cowards should get away with anything as long as their your guys. Nashville has been given a huge advantage in this series because they have been told that the rules don't apply to their stars. I'm sure you like that, but it's garbage plain and simple, this was a premeditated double sucker shot to the head by someone who out weighed his victim by fifty pounds, no excuse. Webers become a thug, and the league likes it.

There's some hilarity in the Flyers boards about it. Someone posted a picture of the Kool-Aid mascot busting through on top of the glass, then someone posted if the league was going to fine the glass $2500 for hitting Krejci like that, then some wished that had happened to Cindy...

Ugh,...the first two are funny,....though I'm not sure I feel to good about someone "wishing" something like that to happen to any player.

I'm sure Krejci is fine,....but to get blindsided by the plexi like that has got to be scary,....and potentially dangerous.

I was jut catching up on a story from PHI/PIT game one where someone asked Bylsma about the Briere goal where he was offsides. Bylsma quickly replied..."that's not why we lost the game". Cool move Dan. He knows the truth. :D
