Picked up this 35” BTB in a pawn shop a few months ago as a project. Once I fix the pickup that’s gone and disconnected itself, I’ll start de-fretting. It’s not a neck through like the higher end BTBs and the size is taking some adjustment, but it’s a pretty sweet bass.
Can I get a #?
That's a pretty sick bass! The admin of this group has been gone, but seeing as his future here is uncertain, as it's been awhile since he's been gone, i'll take the initiative to issue you number 12. Welcome to the club!

Sorry I missed you while I was 'away'. Nice looking BTB! ;)

Nice!:drool::drool::drool:

I didn't realize the 4 string Ibanez BTB basses were 35" scale. Are all the 4 string BTB models 35" scale or just this particular model? It would be great if you could tell us more about it. :hyper:

Thanks for stopping in!:)

Haven't checked in this thread in a while.
Here's my latest 35" 4-string. Arrived in October 2019.
NBD post with details and here:
NBD: Lowdown Dual Darkstar Telebass!
image-png.3569219

It's a Lowdown 35" telebass with two Darkstar pups.
I'm down to only two 34" basses, my first instrument, a MIM P-bass where only the wood is original (I'll never sell and it gets gigged occasionally) and my 1979 T-40 which sounds great for recording but due to the weight will probably never be gigged again. Strongly considering selling the T-40 which would bring me down to almost nothing but 35".

Though I've been experimenting with bringing along my upright and/or my P-bass, since November, I've been mostly gigging (until Covid that is) with two 35" Lowdown basses, the Telebass above and the Jazz pictured below:

I just noticed that @KBunny also has an Ibanez BTB 4 string that is also 35” scale but it isn’t the same model as I only see 3 control knobs on the body instead of 5

That’s such a cool pick guard on that Lowdown :drool::drool:

I went ahead and Gotsta twin of my 1st 35" 4 stringer. Did a neck swap and after slight string height adjustments they both were still intonated. Un-FN-believable ! Dusty Hill is an instigator ;).

If the Lefty doesn't end up with someone else soon, I'll mod it to use Righty.

Where in Pa? I’m in Pa

Guitars on Main, Mount Joy, PA.

I lived in Bucks Co. PA, from 85-90 when I was in the Navy. Durring that time I worked part time for a couple Music stores North of Philly doing electronic repair.
One of my best Navy Buddies, a Bad-Ass Guitar Player is from the Carlisle/Harrisburg area.
