No intermediate pics. I have a few shots that rob posted on social media where my bass is in the pics. But nothing specific. Yes, she’s 35”

It is a custom one off Bass but for the life of me I nor anyone else has ever been able to determine who made it but it is a very high quality neck thru build

What's the string spacing?

At the Bridge, outer edge to outer edge 20mm. the nut is 1.6in.

Hey, I kinda thought these basses were an oddity, then I remembered I OWN one. This was most likely made either entirely from scratch or from a kit probably in the late 60's or early to mid 70's. The guy who gave it to me doesn't know, but it matches no other violin bass ever. Not even an aria or matsumoku brand has anything even remotely similar. It's somewhere between 35-35.5 scale, 4 strings, solid body violin bass. The neck is big warped but it doesn't really effect the tuning or intonation or anything. You just have to have beefy hands to fret it.....

@GretschWretch might know what this is. He's pretty amazing with the older stuff.

Looks like it had a pick guard at some point in its life.

Antebellum Instruments had a similar star on the headstock of their banjos, but otherwise I am stumped.
