the Official Ampeg Club Part 5

An update on my Heritage Head. I had sent it to Sweetwaters for repair. I bought it there. I was informed that there only was 90day warranty on tubes(I'm into the 4 month mark). Jimmy told me to call Ampeg(thank you). We'll Ampeg ended up calling Sweetwaters and informed them that the Heritage Heads tubes are under 6 month warranty. They should have known this. The info that came with the Head says 90 days. What would have cost me 400 dollars for new tubes ended up costing me one way shipping. Also Sweetwaters only sells GT tubes which I did not want so they are ordering the oem tubes from Ampeg at no cost.

Update: Ampeg did not have the usual tubes so I took Svetlana over Sovteks

Too bad. I have winged C's in my svt classic right now with about 1 year left until they need to be replaced. I had planned on getting a heritage instead of replacing the tubes but might not do that anymore.

This guy wants $900 for the svt2pro, what do you think? What era is this? Worth it?

Nice BA108!

And yes, JJs in the Heritage SVT-CL since 2011. I'm perfectly fine with them, too. They've been good for me for a year and a half now.

And Slpbass, don't just change tubes because time has passed. Tubes can last many many years in some cases, and the biggest waste of money on earth is retubing in regular intervals.
