Thank you. I went through a few brands trying amps and cabs before I finally settled on what I have. Ampeg is hard to beat for a traditional sound. They have the fullness of tubes sound that is hard to beat. That seems to be what I gravitated towards. I have another amp by a different manufacturer for the clean and modern sound when needed. It would have been great to have the B15 Heritage reissue also but I wasn't buying equipment when they were released and the ones that were for sale second hand were really pricey. That's why I went with a PF50T and a PF115LF. That's a great combo and at a much more affordable price.

Picked up a top mount VT40 (V2) chassis from another talkbass member, and I'm gonna try and mount that into my V6B headshell. Hoping that everything fits, although I'm fairly confident that it will.
This will put me back at 5 Ampegs. I need to get that number up, it's a rookie number.

This has been literally years in the making! I've been waiting to order the 70's AV blue and silver sparkle grill cloth for my second 810 for some time due to it being out of stock and nowhere to be found. Well the new 70's AV blue and silver sparkle arrived this week from Fliptops and it looks fantastic! I noticed it has a slightly more blue-ish tint than the other cabinet, it may be interesting to know if new Ampeg's with AV cloth are seeing this as well? Either way I'm super happy that my rig finally matches!

A missing chapter from Ampeg history unearthed in a Reverb.com listing ?!!

Do you know if they ever made into stores? I had never heard of them - I am guessing that they got scrapped just before the sale to SLM...

I just found an image of the ad. Maybe Morse wasn't exactly endorsing; the amps appeared at the bottom.

I have a vague recollection of maybe seeing one once. Maybe.

Nice - I've seen that ad - if I ever had noticed the eg part - I totally forgot.

It looks like they did get produced - for a bit.

Just out of curiosity, since I'm new to the Ampeg scene, does anyone have cooling issues with their SVT 4 PRO in rack cases? I'm planning on a 6U (Furman, tuner, head). I noticed that cooling goes from right to left through the unit.

Guys I will be joining you soon. Went to one of my friends rehearsals and he had a very nice ampeg setup. They played always on the run and that bass tone just hit me in the chest. So powerful Somewhat regretting my wd800 purchase right now. Its great but its no ampeg.

So, you see, my old practice amp was pretty crappy, and if I was going to spend 200 bucks on a new one, why not spend an extra 150 and just get something I could grow into, right? Perfectly logical. It would border onwon irresponsible didn't to do anything else. Plus, my wife didn't even laugh at me once when I brought it in the house. Of course not.
