The Official Brice Club

Does anyone other than Rondo sell them in the US? And do they make a lined fretless? I'm not good enough at fretless to play without frets, and not comfortable spending a fortune on a fretless I dunno how to play properly.

That's the only place I've seen them. I don't recall seeing any fretless w/lines either. I have a Yamaha lower end fretless that's lined, that might be an option for ya.

I did a search and could not come up with one. I will assign numbers. Post your Brice 4, 5, and 6 string basses!!

I will start, here is my Brice HXP-406 in Nat Bubinga Finish!!!!

I guess I am Number 1 then. Great basses for the $$ :)

I have one just like that. I didn't like the preamp, so I put a Bart NTMB in it. Sounds great now. I don't have a picture of it.

I also have a Brice FB-1 Thunderbird copy. You can kind of see it here:

sure you could do that but I was actually quite impressed with the electronics that came with this bass. I have the fretless with the flatwound strings that came with it. Sounds sweet for what it is. Maybe one of the guys who have the fretted bass came fill you in on what theirs sound like with round wounds.

i tried to find a audio clip on the net ...no luck but i'm very intrigue

check these other similar basses i can get :

LaBella Deep Talkin' Bass tapes are available in 6 string sets. They are really nice strings, too.

Get them at Carvin.com - they're only like $30 a set there!!

I need to be in this club - I've had 6 Brices...only the latest Brice is a custom made Prestige Z6 - Black, 34 scale with a maple board. The Brice factory kept screwing it up and Kurt at Rondo had it made at Agile (which is what the headstock says).

I was going to drop an Audere into it, but I don't think I need to - the new electronics are quite good. Played my first gig with it on Saturday and was told how good it sounds.

Right now I have a V2 fretless (which I dropped a Bartolini 3 band into and it SMOKES!!! Intonation is dead on after a bridge adjustment) and the "Agile"

I'd like a number please.

Thank you.

5 strings fretless, 35 scale. I am absolutelly unhappy with that thing. It might work with better electronics. But, I have no intention to put any dime to it. $300 was quite enough waste.

If you have an HXB-406, I can understand. Really wasn't a fan of it...but the Prestige is a step above their other models, and the electronics they're putting in them now are WAY better than previous years.

If you have a fretless V2 though, you can sell it for more than you paid for it since they've been discontinued.
