Dang, these Bassculture Humbuckers are umbelievably rich in tone. Combined with my Darkglass Alpha Omega it kicks it really hard! I already like this bass better for my overdrive than my Frog 5 headless with the Delano extenders. Can't wait to spend more time exploring the tone properly in the next days and weeks

Took my Elwood 4a to the doctor on Thursday. The main reason for the trip is because of a problem I created. I like Dunlop strap locks and I was replacing the the stock strap buttons with the Dunlops. The one on the upper horn was no problem but the other one just wouldn't budge. I wound up stripping the head of the screw. The good news is that my luthier seems confident that he can get it done.

The bass also had a very small amount of fret sprout and I am having a HipShot KickAss bridge iinstalled. It should be sweet when it returns....

I've been wanting a 5-string, 24-fret Jazz Bass for a few years now. Well, about a week or so ago, I hopped on to the configurator and did this. Went with the "Black Burst" finish, Haeussel noiseless pickups, Hipshot hardware, and a Katalox fingerboard. I wired the deposit on Wednesday, and I got an e-mail from Adrian this morning saying he got it & is gonna start working on it today. Excited!!

P.S., yes, I reversed the image. Hey, I'm a lefty, whaddya want? Hahaha.

Passive electronics?

I got the "pull passive" on my Joker....

Sometimes wish that I'd asked Adrian if he could have made it "pull active" as I've found myself playing it passive more often than not...:)

Kinda strange, isn't it? I noticed the passive mode has a slight volume bump and more "air" in the top-end. In all honesty, I could have gotten by with a passive harness including volume, blend, passive roll-off. The real character (IMO) comes from the dual switches.
