Hi all,
I played longscale(34" and 35") five stringers for 15 years until last year..... I bought a shorstscale 4string bass. It really felt like coming home. I really love shorstscale and from then i don't like to play my longscale basses anymore. But.... I really miss my low B string. Not because of playing lower notes but because of more freedom with fretted notes.(wich i prefer)
In my search for a shorstscale 5er I found Maruszczyk/Mensinger and the configurator. Played a lot with it and was interested in a Elwood 5er shorty. When i checked the adress of Public Peace I found out it is only a 30 minutes drive from where I live...... So I drove there and met Adrian and his showroom. He's kind and you can try whatever you want. I tried nearly all SS basses he had and ended up finding out that the Mensinger Cazpar is what I'm looking for.
Right now I'm trying to sell my 5 stringers to fund my Cazpar. Didn't order yet and I'm afraid it will take some time before I can.
I'm not sure about the pick-ups yet but it'll be something like this.(or Delano Xtender pups)
