The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

The headstock looks cramped to me and I strongly dislike the E and G strings not going straight over the nut to the tuners. Sone fellow TBers therefore chose the Joker headstock, which I also find a lot more pleasing aethetically. Ymmv of course.

I like the body shape, it looks like an earlier, smaller version of the Frog to me.
You can request different headstock? Wow that is good to know if possible.

Totally going to do that if I do a Cazpar after I get my Elwood. Still not sure what wood covered pickups to get. Now I'm wondering if they can do wood covers on Nordy's that'll make the choice easy.

Thinking about a Pike headstock now!

This might be a dumb question but is there any reason why some models aren't in the custom shop builder. The Pike, Speesy, The Leaf, Phoenix, might be missing 1 or 2 that aren't in the builder.

They started the configurator with a handful of models a few years ago. They add other models every now and then. We just have to remain patient. ;)

Can one of you lovely people measure the width of the neck at the 24th fret of a 5 string Frog/Elwood for me please?
I've found a great used deal online but I've never tried a Maruszczyk and I'm a bit weary of the neck profile. I'm trying to compare it to something I know and like (a Kiesel Vader 5 string.)

Awesome thanks! Any idea if this is standard on all 5-string Maruszczyks or does this vary?
I posted this above while commenting on a different post, but neck width at the body varies based on the string spacing that you order. I recently ordered a 5 with 17" spacing but with a Hipshot adjustable bridge, so if the spacing is too narrow (my others are 18 and 19) I can tweak it a bit if the outer fingerboard clearance and fretwork allows.

Thanks everyone for the information.
Regarding your 5-string with 18mm string spacing, could you please measure the width at the body? The one I'm looking at has 18mm string spacing.
If the 17mm one has a width of 70mm, then logically the 18mm one will have a width of 74mm I'm guessing.

I just measured my Elwood and Cazpar 5's, which have 18" bridge spacing and 21 and 22 frets respectively. The neck width at the last fret (widest spot) is 72mm on both. I would expect 24 fret models wouldn't be much beyond that if at all (ie not all the way to 74 mm...but folks with 24 frets can chime in)
