Just a tip - aside from being able to specify nut width, neck width at the heel will vary based on your requested string spacing on a custom order, e.g., 17" bridge spacing will yield a narrower neck than 19" spacing.

Yes, I know. I'm looking for 16mm spacing but the 16mm spacing necks they have on public-peace have the same width as my ibanez SR506 which has 16.5mm spacing so I think there's some extra width in there that could be shaved off...

I got just a pretty boring passive Elwood C with Flame Maple top in the Matte Transparent Purple, With a roasted maple neck and roasted flame maple fingerboard.
Doesn't sound boring to me. Great choices that sound familiar. My is quilted maple top in gloss transparent purple, roasted maple neck with ebony fingerboard.
Not sure what flavor of purple you're looking for, but I saw some that were called transparent purple but looked more like a rose color to me so I asked to err on the side of dark and they delivered.

The bass looks like it would be pretty if the image wasn't so iffy. How did you save it or capture it?
I'm sure that's a common reaction, but the headstock was actually the first thing that attracted me to the Cazpar, and I think it's one of its best attributes, being so ingeniously minimal to ensure no neck dive. Definitely not Fenderish. It took me longer to warm up to the body shape (I've got a Cazpar 5-string, which I love).
Like you, I was bothered more by the body than headstock, but I think it is a cool looking bass!

I like the shape of the headstock and how it's in proportion with the bass, but if I had a gripe it would be with the E string. If I could tweak it, I would expand the top of the headstock just enough at that spot so that a reversed E tuning machine could be used to get rid of the angle from the nut to the post. Only time will tell but that funky angle doesn't seem to be causing odd physical stresses.
It may not be obvious from the pictures, but there is clearance for A and D strings between pegs. I agree with @Rocket Queen - the headstock is a really clever design and the body shape is growing on me.
The headstock looks cramped to me and I strongly dislike the E and G strings not going straight over the nut to the tuners. Sone fellow TBers therefore chose the Joker headstock, which I also find a lot more pleasing aethetically. Ymmv of course.
