I've been waiting for you to post pics of yours Hank. I thought they would tracked down your Bass by now. That sucks... :( Fingers crossed you get yours before mine..I can wait. My dealer said he hasn't heard any news about my build yet. He is having Adrian ship mine to me directly.

I received the couch pic this morning of my 30" Jake...Funny cause I just posted yesterday that I was at my 8 week mark and was waiting....Super excited now! Looks great to me :woot:

Nice! That came through very quickly in the end! How do you feel about betting you get yours before I do now? ;)

That's a great top, the flame on the board looks really nice too.

They seem to be getting through them pretty quickly, I think mine was just past the 7 week mark when I got notified, and that was after arriving in the UK.

I gave a deposit and placed my order for a new JOKER B build today. I "sort of" caved a bit from my original plans with an unusual color scheme. I decided that if I ever wanted to resell it, I would have a much easier time with a more traditional color scheme. If I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it, I can always have another one built with a different color scheme and sell this one---or not!. I am going through Randy Riley at Bass Spotlight in Illinois. He has been fantastic to work with and is saving me about $600 instead of going through the website. (He gets a dealer discount and passes some of that on to the customer....also, no shipping, customs fees, taxes,etc.) Adrian sent actual photos of top wood to choose from and I picked one that I think will be stunning!

I decided on a pickup choice that is NOT listed as an option. DELANO SBC-HE/s4. That is a 4 coil pickup that allows the choice of split coils in a P configuration (top of the North side and bottom of the south side of the pickup for example), single coil, series and parallel.

SO...now the build-time clock begins!! (the photo is from the configurator and not the actual top wood that will be used in the build, of course)

I wish that I knew about Randy Riley/Bass Spotlight before I placed my last build with Adrian...could have saved some money! Randy has a presence on Reverb.com and on Facebook. Also, can be reached by email:Randall Riley <[email protected]> He is an established dealer for Adrian and seems to know the best way to get things done quickly.

He was the bass player with Survivor (Eye of the tiger) in their later years of touring, etc. and still a working bass player. He is also a businessman with a few different companies. I think that he does stage equipment rental and lighting, etc.. (I THINK) and probably some other things, too. Great guy to talk with on the phone and gave me super advice on what things work well together on a build and what things may not be the best.

Cool! That is going to look Sweet! Randy is a great guy to deal with. Did you save the pic of the top that you chose? I would like to see it if you don't mind posting it. :cool:
