Decided to put my Jake 5a up on the classifieds. Prefer 18mm or less string spacing otherwise this one would be a keeper. Message me if interested.

Thanks for asking Freddy .....

When I first got her home I was a bit freaked out (to put it mildly) When I was tuning I noticed a ridiculous back bow in the neck, she was completely unplayable. The strings were literally pressed into the fretboard.... I guess that's understandable when a bass is sitting in 110+ degree weather in the back of a UPS truck for who knows how long? I'll take this minute to shout out the Reverb seller "BassX3", a Marusczcyk dealer in St. Louis, MO who I bought it from, he was very responsive to my concerns and was eager to help resolve the issue however he could.

I happen to have invested in some good tools awhile back and learned a bit about proper setups over the years from my teacher so I was comfortable attempting to straighten her out myself. I highly recommend bassists who likes a good / particular setup to make a cash investment in good tools and a time investment in learning how to get their basses set up properly by themselves. Here in NYC, a setup is $85-$100 plus strings plus tax (and a week long wait) .... If you have a few basses in your stable that can get pretty expensive after awhile.

Anyway, back to the Frog..... she's FANTASTIC and well worth the money. I originally wanted a Pi2 or Pi3 ... the Wojtek Pilichowski signature bass, aka "The slap machine" but they are $3,500 - $5000 and if I had that kind of cash laying around I'd keep saving for a Fodera Monarch, lol ... I can't imagine the Pi's being any more "punchier" then this Frog

The Frog is very light which is nice and the Delano pups make it sound like my EBMM Stingray but after taking a handful of steroids!!! .... it's punchy as fug and has a great growl too. What's impressive about Marusczcyk basses are that they are finished flawlessly, like Adrian inspects every one of them himself before they leave the factory. The 24 frets allows for really nice upper register playing as well.

I've always wanted a Marusczcyk and I'm thrilled to have this one, great bass, great company, great bass playing CEO too "From player to player"

Highly recommended for those players who enjoy a punchy, deep sounding bass.

For what it's worth, she came with Warwick strings. A very light gauge too, much lighter than I'm used to. I've never played Warwick brand strings before but they are VERY comfortable and very bright.... I'll absolutely use them again when these current strings are spent.

Now all I need is a "Marusczcyk owners club" number,

Really pleased to hear that you got the neck bow sorted and that you're happy with your Frog.....:thumbsup:.....

To the best of my knowledge, there have never been numbers issued for this club....
