I emailed Randy last night and here’s what he said:
Adrian has been overwhelmed with business and things are moving slowly. He just started shipping out instruments yesterday. I got tracking information for the first shipment today. I have just given him shipping information for the second shipment which should occur tomorrow or Monday and you are next. I anticipate getting your tracking information Monday or Tuesday

I emailed Randy also last night and he responded this morning and said Because of Adrian's agreement with Federal Express, he can only ship one instrument per day, which creates a big Q of instruments. Mine should go out by the end of next week he said. I am fourth in line for Randy's customers.

That's odd. I would think it would be more efficient for FedEx to pick up a bunch of basses once a week than to pick up one every day. I'm pretty sure Adrien makes more than 365 basses a year.
Seems there are a number of us in this situation. Practicing patience.

Just a feeler to see if there would be any interest in my Maruszczyk bass. I ordered this custom build with Adrian right in the middle of the pandemic, 2021, and it took a couple months to get it. I ordered what I thought I wanted, but it turns out that 5-strings are just not my thing. Since I love P basses, I had Adrian build a 5-string, active P, Brandyburst, Aguilar pickups, Aguilar OPB-3 Pre amp, Hipshot USA tuners and bridge, flame Maple neck, abalone block inlays, neck binding. Wasn't the cheapest build, but hey, I figured there might be only one pandemic in my lifetime to get through, so might as well go for it. The idea was to have it be modern, but without losing a vintage P vibe. Wearing new flats, she's a mighty beast of a P bass.
I haven't yet decided whether I'm going to list it for sale here on TB in the classifieds, as I 'm slightly on the fence about selling it, So offering it up here for feedback from the folks who "know".
Prefer a sale, but open to 4-string P or J trade ideas of equal value.
This build was $2,500. plus some related shipping expenses. Condition is near mint. It's just not brand new out of the box, but looks like it. Has never left my home studio location. Here's what she looks like. More pics for anyone truly interested.

Couple of Q’s for all you M owners / players:
The configurator etc is really cool. But, how do you know what is going to happen with the weight of the instrument? There isn’t anything in there for weight options. I def do not want a boat anchor bass. How does that work?
Also, I definitely prefer 18mm bridge spacing; but, I do not want an 18mm bridge just slapped on a 19mm tapered neck. Cause the bridge spacing itself isn’t my issue. I mainly don’t like the aircraft carrier 19mm neck tapers. Fender’s 18mm neck taper is just fine. Do they have the necks properly tapered for 18mm or are they just using 19mm blanks?

When I got my Jake, swamp ash was an option and I ended up with a 7.5 pound bass. Maruszczyk no long offers swamp ash, so I would consider a chambered body if/when I order another. You could also talk with Adrian and see if they can select lighter wood for your build. There are thing he will and will not do, but you never know until you ask.
I have no insights about neck tapers.
My Jake is chambered ash (not swamp ash) and I also ended up at 7.5 lbs.
On the configurator choose Hipshot lite tuning machines, Hipshot Aluminum Bridge, even the knobs can be changed to Aluminum. My bass was 10lbs and just changing these elements of the hardware became 9 Lbs.
Woods are important European Ash is heavier than American Ash. Be certain that the body is chambered. Send an email to Adrian before you put your order.
