The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

Just ordered a 5 string lightweight JAKE L (P/J) from stock. So, they should be able to ship soon. I went with "plain Jake--pun intended" because this is a 5 string 7.9 pounds. Vintage Nordstrand pickups, 35" scale (great B string?) I may have active electronics added by my expert tech I use in the Phoenix area.

I received my 30" Elwood a couple of days ago and got a chance to take a few pics this morning. Setup is nice and low how I like it and it weighs in right at 8lbs. I added some Black sparkle knobs to it that I had from Amazon. i really like the 9.5" radius...Feels comfy.

That looks awesome! Which Maru do you still have besides this one? The Jake?

I’m glad that one arrived so quickly after the notice… it looks great, those knobs are a perfect match for it!

Your pictures always look great! Are you taking them on a black backdrop or a green screen and just knocking out the background?

That would look absolutely dope with black hardware and black strings. But it's still spectacular, congrats!

I was close to choosing Black hardware. :ninja:

Wow, that top looks fantastic!
Congrats and happy birthday!
Thank man! The grain figuring in that ash top is blowing my mind as well. I never anticipated it might be so bold and inspiring. This will be only my second bass, ever. My other is an Ibanez Mikro, so this will be a huge upgrade and I expect a lot of tonal variety.

Hi All, I am new to the forum. I have had much fun reading through this thread. I've decided to start playing again after a 25 year hiatus. With the help of this forum and this thread I have decided on getting a Maruszczyk Frog Omega 5a. I ordered one that they had in stock, so hopefully it will arrive soon. I can't wait to get it in my hands to see how much I have forgotten since I last held a bass.

Got the couch pic for my 30" Cazpar today :hyper:. I have a birthday coming up in a couple of weeks so I'm hopeful the bass' arrival syncs up with that :).

I'm very pleased with the color presentation in the couch pic of my soon-to-be-arriving Cazpar. While staring at the pics again this morning I remembered that there was a bit of discussion a while back as to how the couch pics compare with the darkness/lightness of the actual instruments. I'd be grateful if someone could please remind me of the concensus on that issue, if there was one. Of course, I'll see for myself eventually but it'll be on my mind until the bass hits my doorstep.

Thanks.
