The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

I'm very pleased with the color presentation in the couch pic of my soon-to-be-arriving Cazpar. While staring at the pics again this morning I remembered that there was a bit of discussion a while back as to how the couch pics compare with the darkness/lightness of the actual instruments. I'd be grateful if someone could please remind me of the concensus on that issue, if there was one. Of course, I'll see for myself eventually but it'll be on my mind until the bass hits my doorstep.

Thanks.
If you’re looking for a comparison of what the couch photo looks like compared to the actual bass, here are my couch photo

So I would say, in my case, the colors came out, pretty darn accurate. The thing you can’t account for, in a photo, is how good the instrument feels once you get it in your hands! :woot:

Here’s another example for you, I think the in person was better than the couch pict in this case.

Hi All, I am new to the forum. I have had much fun reading through this thread. I've decided to start playing again after a 25 year hiatus. With the help of this forum and this thread I have decided on getting a Maruszczyk Frog Omega 5a. I ordered one that they had in stock, so hopefully it will arrive soon. I can't wait to get it in my hands to see how much I have forgotten since I last held a bass.
Welcome back!

Thanks for the replies and pics related to my question about the couch shots and actual instruments. I agree they are very close indeed. Somehow I thought from the previous thread that there was a more defined difference but that might just have been down to lighting. I hope my Cazpar looks just like the couch pic because I REALLY like it! :).

This is pretty normal just go into the details and look to see where the package is right now. If it’s not updated at the moment, you’ll get updated in the next day or so shouldn’t be a big deal. Typically this happens and then it magically shows up a day or two later.

Thanks, This always seems to happen to me. Haven't touched a bass in over 20 years and one extra day now seems like an eternity :). In the mean time I have been spending lot of time on the configurator planning my next one :D

I just finished watching a YouTube video of a guy demoing a Maruszczyk bass and I was totally blown away, but googling it doesn't lead to a website or any decent info on who sells these basses. Please!! Clue me in!!
Here's their custom configurator

If you're in the US look for Bass Spotlight on FB or Reverb - Randy is a US Maruszczyk dealer

Hey, that's my new bass...:hyper: It's expected to arrive next Thursday. I honestly can't wait!

**I am a little concern of the weight at the moment. I know I am being a bit paranoid, but FedEX has the entire package listed as 9kg in total, that's 19.84lbs! I sincerely hope there is at least 10.5lbs of package material and gigbag weight in it. I meant I did specifically ask/pay for Swamp Ash body "hoping" for a reduced weight.
