Wow, I didn't know Maruszczyk had its own configurator. Guess what flippy is up to now...
Sweet, they can do a PJ with jazz body! AND offer a transparent black finish! And the price is very approachable, considering it's a custom build from a respected brand. I'm definitely ordering from them once it's time to upgrade (And I wish it was time to upgrade drool)

I was wondering about that myself....It seems that Adrian recommends I/2" tuners for flats but I'm damned if I know why....
If you wrap the full thickness of flats on a tight radius, they are more likely to break. Some SS folks do this when they use long strings. That's my theory and I'm sticking with it.

Yeah, the configurator is awesome. Maruszcyyk does what the Fender "Mod Shop" should be able to do - order a semi-custom P or J bass in long, medium or short scale, any color, with a reasonable selection of pickups, preamps, fingerboard options, etc. And do it for under $2K.
3/8" are lighter, I guess. 1/2" are better for flats as the bend isn't a severe (it's never been a problem on mine, so I think it's just a precaution).
FWIW, I've got one set of each on my two Jakes, and I find the 1/2" more pleasing visually.
It's not much of a difference. I ordered the 3/8" on my Elwood L that is still being built simply because I want the lightest instrument I can get, even though it's only a few grams different. I'm pretty sure the Gotoh Res-O-Lites I recently put on my fretless are the 1/2" variety, but I have the 3/8" on some of my other instruments. 1/2" probably does look a bit better, but I don't think it's that big of a difference.
What do you mean by "wire"? If you mean direct bank transaction, then I have done the wire option. I live in Germany, though, so I don't know about probable transaction fees or such...
