Cool! That body style is really growing on me. And your choices in the mock-up gives me a Patitucci and Thundercat vibe...minus a few strings of course
Considering the number of options for body woods and pickup and hardware configurations as well as neck and fretboard woods and options, I don't think mass production would be viable. They aren't making them by the tens of thousands like Fender does.
Landed today! I am very impressed! the quality of this instrument is outstanding! Truly amazing. Any lurkers out there considering a Maruszczyk or a Mensinger, do not hesitate! the pic does not do this bass justice. The burst is dark blue to green to yellow. Fabulous! fit and finish is top notch. It plays and sounds great! Very happy with this purchase!

They do use CNC machines but they are made to order. I doubt they would stock bolt-on necks etc because there's so many options, headless, different headstocks etc.
So.... are you putting something together with the configurator right now?

Maruszczyk/Mensinger builds about 500 basses a year. As Basssalad said, when you figure out all the different models and options…..
Well I was wondering how they made them. I did find a video that i guess i missed that shows the shop and how they work them. I was on the brink of thinking these basses were not worth it for me personally, but seeing that kind of got me back in.
Just to be clear on how they use CNC machines, when I asked Adrian about upgrades to the shop based on the new video, I also asked if they were using CNC now and this was his response:
We have also 3 cnc today, one for inlays, one for the fret slots and one for the chambering of the bodys and for the hollow bodys.
The rest is still made by hand.
Meaning necks and bodies are not shaped by CNC.

Thanks for that info. Honestly I think using CNC machines for bodies and necks is a good thing. Final assessment by real craftsmen is important. Quality control can only be achieved through skilled professionals. Looking forward to receiving my 2 basses!
Working on a frog config and wondering about the quality of the monorail bridge. Trying to stay in budget and not sure if the ets bridge is worth the extra.
