The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

@Low B Lee I think the standard Maruszczyk multiscale offering is 33”-35”, which is a shorter stretch than Dingwalls (34”-37”). If you have access to a store that carries Ibanez, it could be worth checking if they have the EHB1005MS or EHB1505MS (maybe others in this range) as these have the same spread and should be a good way to compare with a standard long scale bass.

My road to a Maruszczyk led through a multi scale headless Ibanez 1505. I just couldn’t get used to the multi scale. They are amazingly comfortable but I just didn’t groove with it. That said, my only other 5 string is a 35”. Other players make the switch no problem and maybe I didn’t put enough time into it, but I moved on from the MS.

Thanks, but I'm really wondering how the multiscale works on a Maru specifically and if anyone has compared to a parallel fret Maru. I currently have a Dingwall and find the multiscale very natural but am looking for a 33-35" rather than the Dingwall 34-37" which is a bit too reachy for me in places.

I'll do that, thanks!

I don't think I posted this new order yet. I posted the config pic a month ago and pretty much kept it all the same. A few weeks ago I put down a deposit through Randy for this 32" Elwood L build.
Alder body with Cocobolo top & Wenge veneer.
Roasted flame maple neck with White Ebony fretboard.
Delano Xtenders with Delano Sonar 3 pre.
Hipshot A style aluminum bridge with 18mm string spacing
Hipshot ultralite mini clover tuners.
Custom 12th fret Abalone Bass clef inlay.
I chose this Cocobolo top and White Ebony FB below that Adrian had instock. I should have by end of October if all goes well.

What is the different between the Delano xtender vs that split coil type xtender?

Congratulations on your new instrument! The color looks much better on the couch shot. 👍🏻😎

Let us know how it plays and sounds once you have it.

Thanks, BassmanM! Bishop seems like it can present in many ways, though perhaps it all depends on the top wood, lighting, and other factors. Maybe this is true for other colors as well? Here is a sample of Bishop coloring I received from Maruszczyk via my reseller:

I am very happy (and a bit relieved!) with how the color turned out on mine :)

I chose Bishop gloss for my most recent 32" Jake and though I really like how it turned out, I was hoping more for the config pic since I like that Purple/Grape color.
Your Frog turned out great
