Yes, try and wait, like me. Ordered mine 6 weeks before you. Adrian told me, though, that they are really really busy at the moment, so i dont blame them. Also, they had trouble with some Hardware deliveries. Oh well, one upside of the waiting: looks like they are still able to change my neck due to the delay. I will have a birdseye maple neck and fingerboard, and it will receive a nice amber coloured paint, it will Look like one of those fancy looking roasted maple necks like Music Man Instruments
Haven't heard more on my Jake since I got the couch picture. They just had to change the split P pup. I'm hoping it isn't something that's backordered.
I guess you ordered through a U.S. dealer and made full payment in advance? When did you receive their picture?
For my first Maruszczyk bass, I had to make deposit half the cost of the bass, and when I received the couch shot, I had to transfer the other half. About a week later I received the bass.

I picked up my headless Frog once more yesterday and tried various hanging positions.
Doesn't look too bad, right? I guess the pic does not illulstrate my earlier explanations, but the bass still doesn't feel really comfortable. The body with the extended upper horn just feels too long for my body no matter how I hang it. I also seem to have to hold the neck down all the time, as it goes up a bit automatically having no head.
Anyway, the bass will have to leave me, no point in keeping it. Sadly! I nevertheless hope to get an opportunity to check out a headed Frog one day.

Have you tried the upper strap holder? If the horn is too long, another option would be to become wider yourself, then it won't feel that way I guess

Yes, I tried all positions with the upper strap pin as well. Basically no improvement plus the bass gets tilted towards the body which I don't like.
You are absolutely right of course, I could get wider!
But I'd rather look for someone who is already wide enough for the bass.

Yes. Less bigger now, but I'm still large, so I bet it will suit me just fine!
I'm waiting for my own custom headless Frog right now, and it will be a five string with broader neck than usual, so the 4 string would not exactly be ideal for me...

You should try the position a la Alain Caron like in the picture below.
I've tried it and this makes it easier on the hands and the shoulder.
Look at his hands, they don't bend.

The Frog takes that position by itself, but so far I don't like to play that way. Luckily no problems with hands and shoulder.
I’m glad you are not an I’ll make it work type person! Beautiful bass, but I would get rid of it too if it felt uncomfortable!
US dealer but only $300 down, which was nice. He sent me the picture and I worked out the pickup issue with him at that time. That was Nov. 7.
The body shape is virtually the same for the headless and headed frogs so it seems the overall positioning should be similar. The lack of a headstock probably would make the bass hang a little more angled up. What is interesting to me is the proportions down toward the butt of the bass at the bridge area. Notice how much different the positioning of the pickups and bridge is between the two pics below. That would place your hand at a different place. I like plucking down by the bridge which in the case of that headless bass would make the plucking position further up the bass. I wouldn't like that. I'm wondering if that is a lot of what is bothering you with how the bass "feels". Or is it just an optical illusion?

Yay! Well, it takes about a week from Adrian sending the couch shot to making it ready for shipment. (he is personally doing an instrument setup)
Then it will go to the U.S. and all import/custom duties will have to be taken care of by your dealer...so all that may take a while.
More or less, except that I usually play closer to the neck...
Not that you have to do everything to make that bass work but do you really find that a comfortable hand position? Just asking, no criticism.
