Here's a question: Do any of you hang your basses on wall hangers, like I do? More importantly, are there any long-term risks in doing so? I used stands for years, then came up with the wall hanging rig in my profile pic (it actually holds five instruments), but I've always wondered if they might have some kind of effect on instrument necks.

I use one of these.....

I've never had, or heard of, any problems with it....

Thanks mate, this gives me confidence to replace the bridge. The A style bridge looks like a direct replacement of the standard bridge.
Though I prefer the look of the standard bridge.
Do the two bridges weight similarly? I am thinking of getting an aluminum A style bridge.

I believe Hipshot is lighter. Original is pretty heavy to my taste (but I won't be removing Hipshot to comapare). Changing bridge didn't affect the balance of the bass tho

Damn, I am so happy you asked this question as I have been long wondering the same thing ...... I also hang my basses in my studio and there's quite a few of them .... I find it very strange that sometimes I'll pull one off the wall and immediately notice she needs a "tweak" .... a bit of a truss rod adjustment or a saddle height adjustment or both. I just don't understand that. I set up my own gear and I know how each is supposed to feel. So when I see that one is "off" from how I put it up, I'm befuddled.

The strange part is that it's only a few basses where that happens, not all of them. I too wondered if it was because of hanging as the ones I don't hang, never have this issue.

And fwiw, the room is always at a constant temperature and humidity ... for the most part

I do, I have few hung this way, no issues at all apart from the dust.

QQ, Does anyone know who is manufacturing the strings for Adrian? I was wondering how you guys find the strings.
Those on my Elwood (M4CN) are simply incredible, IMO.
Might get some extra sets with my next order

Noticed a few custom Marusczcyk 6 strings on Ebay ranging over 6 grand. I am trying to understand why they're listed so high when my custom 6 string order has similar, if not identical premium specs to some of these basses and barely spending half in comparison. My first initial thought was the Sputnik being their flagship product so would be listed at a premium price but the 5 string models are, at the most, nearly 2 grand cheaper than their 6 string counterparts. Now I understand that price will vary with the materials used but that price jump seems excessive, they're almost hitting those Fodera prices. Part of the appeal to these basses is the price, is this a sign of change in pricing structure or are the Sputnik models just sexy premo basses? Any body have any guesses?

Totally understand you!! I'm not leaving mine, It's my go-to bass now and continually get compliments from my band mates.
Now, the question is what will happen when the second one will arrive??!!

Don't know what you have but my Elwood 4 with Delano J Pickup + Noll 2 Band preamp is fantastic. Everyone prefer it over my Lakland 44-02 SKyline Deluxe (more expensive than the Elwood).
I'm pretty sure you'll love it and they will too.

It's not Maruszczyk selling them, it's from Japan.
My guess is someone is ordering these and trying to make a profit.

That seems like an unreasonable inflation in price to make a profit. I'd hate to be the poor soul that purchases one of those basses instead of ordering directly from Adrian.
