The Official Medium Scale Bass Club

Hello there, I just joined TB to get in the Club. I play a Squier Tele Special Bass. Since I own it, my Roger Waters Preci feels too long. Today I ordered a 32"neck from Adrian Maruszczyk for it. I will send pics when I got the bass back from him. So please let me join.

32" Warmoth Warhead just arrived , the price in the showcase was to good to pass on , hmm now what to do..

Yes, not hot off the press news, but Warmoth recently re-worked and simplified their site and added some nice PBass bodies for short and medium scale necks. I thought this chambered one looked pretty nice:

Certainly NOT bargain basement cheap, but they make some pretty high quality bodies and necks and you can certainly end up with a very nice short or medium scale if you are reasonably handy.

First time to the Medium Scale Club.
Here is my baby:

32" Bass
I made this one back in 1996. Padouk body. Body raw. Maple neck and rosewood finger board. Neck stained and raw. Tight B string! Apart from the hard wear, all hand made, including the truss rod and screws ferrules. My favourite bass!

A lot of you guys seem to put together your own basses from warmoth parts. If you order neck and body from warmoth, will it fit together without any woodwork or do you have to rework it? (e.g. use shims or something)

Warmoth SSBp in Sugar Pine just arrived

Sugar pine...nice.

I've been using pine for several builds recently building up bodies using leftover shelving I had laying around. I was thinking of getting a pine aftermarket body but when I checked Warmoth for pine body to go with a Warhead neck I have, I didn't see pine of any type listed in their wood choices. Is pine a special order and what was the price?
