This is the first time in 5 years I had a bass with a neck other than maple, I always have bad experience with other woods. Either the sound, the feel or stability, but this ash neck is all there. As I mention in my post after recieving the wenge-wenge neck 535, the wenge has too much compression for me. The ash is more open but with the mids the wenge has. Maybe it has something to do with the Maple board too. I just can't stay away from the maple boards. Their clean look, slick feel, and that 'clicking' sound, and on top of all that it really contrasts to the Walnut top very nicely.

So, whoever take the Brown case must pay for packing too, I'll have UPS profesionally pack them, because it's the same price as I buy a box and pack it myself, not to mention the brown one is as good as new, so It'll be a shame not to have it well packed.
