The man himself holding my bass! Only takes 2 days to get to me! I'm excited! Looking forward to playing it tomorrow.

Awesome. Mike is SUCH a good soul about this stuff... what a privilege to have him as a friend. I very much look forward to seeing him again in TN.

Got my baby today and it is soooo sweet! My experience with Mike at MTD is second to none! Mike actually called me himself today to see how I liked the bass and to make sure that it arrived safely. Now that's customer service! He did all that I ask of him for the build including carving my neck super thin for a super fast neck. And to my surprise I never even ordered this option or asked for it but he put luminlays on my bass free of charge. I think they really look great and light up for a long time. He included a mini blue led light that you quickly hold up to each fret marker and it begins to glow just like led lights. (pics included). I am so happy with this build. One of the greatest basses that I've ever played and it's a honor to have a master builder build one of my dreams.

Great looking bass - and a gorgeous example of black limba. Mike's been including the Luminlay markers as a standard feature for at least the last two or three years. At first I thought they were just a gimmick but they actually work really well on dark stages. :)

Now I don't miss the one I left behind so much. This one feels so much like the one in my avatar. I've given this one a name - Ava, Afghan for "voice." It also fits that a friend of mine, Ava, celebrated her birthday this week.

Pleasant. I am so happy that you have received her, and you are pleased. I was worried to death, thinking of how many hands would it go through before you got her. Get a Pocket Rocket to listen to her until you can get an amp. It was a pleasure dealing with you.
