Can I ask you guys what kind of strings you're putting on your 535s...?..I don't think I can find MTD strings in my area...

I use the MTD 5 string stainless on both my MTD's. I just went on BSO and put a set in my cart didn't say out of stock.
I ordered a set from them the other day and they sent an email yesterday saying of stock and they would send them when they became available.....I'd like to have another option for strings if I could...
I use the MTD steels in .045 - .130 but I order in bulk and haven't bought any in about a year.

I did get a NS Saratoga, but I return it. It sounded really good, but I found out the NS fret board was a bit wider than the 535. Don't get me wrong loved the bass, but for my feel and taste I prefered the 535.

I've been seeing on and off lately that MTD has a limited supply of wenge...is this true...?..hasn't he had it for over ten years...?
Wenge has been in limited supply for the last few years. I think this is a good part of the reason that Mike will generally not make wenge fingerboards for non-wenge necked basses.
