I'm working the 115 option pretty hard, we had a conversation about it late this afternoon in fact. Just makes sense IMO.

So after following this amp for years and being number one on the list for a C400(the house needed a new fence and it won), I finally got my hands on a 225. Loving it so far. I had a heritage SVT and the 225 sounds better to my ears(and my memory). It's currently sitting on a pair of Mesa 1-12 cabs but I need to try it with some other boxes.

I have a powerhouse 410 that I need to try it with. Anyone here have/try that before?

I'll take the Reeves off your hands then.....

How's the tube amp working with the woofers? Do you run a HPF or plug a port?
I ran a few tube amps with my ported 15/6 and the bass seemed to get a bit too floppy for my tastes. But I know all amp and cab combinations will respond differently.

Welcome to the small, loose association of Reeves appreciators. :cool: Since mine landed in Missouri a few months ago, it has been mated with one of Mike Arnopol's 110 Flex model cabinets. No boast or gloat - I have never sounded better, period. It is a mind and ear-boggling experience every time I take it off standby. I was playing a bit louder than usual a few weeks ago at practice with the master volume dimed as usual, but I cranked the gain past noon which I usually do not do. When you get that gain in the neighborhood of 2:00, things get serious. :bassist:

No floppy ness to report. I have a fdeck hpf but in my test room (basement) it's not used. Plugged stright into the 225. I need to decide if I want to take 98lbs downstairs or 58lbs up. Then I can try the 410 with it. I'm thinking that may be the killer setup. Time will tell...

Thanks! It's been a very long time in the making. I'm planning a visit to my local mad scientist JGR so we can properly... Excersize the 225 in his lab. Jon also has a berg NV412 that may sound really nice too.

I've got a Genz Benz 410 Uber I picked up fpor a great price. I'm thinking it would be a great match for a nice tube head like a Reeves. I'm a little spooked about the weight of a good tube head however. I believe the Peavey Classic 400 head that TB member CL400Peavey has tips the scales at about 90lbs.

Well, I got the Shaw B-150/MAS 112 installed in the sanctuary and set the Reeves on top of the MAS Flex 110 in my living room. I was playing around, tuning the Reeves in with my Precision and happened to crank the presence control way past the highest point (1:00) that I had previously tried. Very pleasing sonic effects are happening between 3 and 4 on 'the dial'. I'm glad I got all reckless and twisted that baby up! :D
