The prices arent that bad on a new 1212L shipped in the UK. Im quite shocked. The Berg prices are VERY high in the UK. Plus...I really want a 2x12...Ive got enough cabs with 10s.

Ive heard a few ppl saying the Shuttle doesnt go well with Shroeder. I think the Markbass will be the amp for me. Im off to test the new line next week, and choose! Then ill be thinking about one of these Shroeders!

I cannot believe they can handle 800W...that is incredible.

My Markbass LMII sounds good with the schroeders, but my Tecamp Puma 1000 is the best sounding amp I've used on my schroeders.

I do have to say that buying a product from a small manufacturer is entertaining at times. When I bought my new Ampeg cabinet last year it came in a box with form-fitting injection molded styrofoam pieces securing the cabinet in place. Today I couldn't help but smile when I opened the Schroeder box (complete with the original photocopied address labels to MFI's distribution center) and found folded Little Caesar's ham, pepperoni and chicken boxes stuffed around the cabinet to keep it from shifting.

Many amps deliver their maximum power output at 4 Ohms. Example: the MarkBass Little Mark II provides 500W at 4 Ohms or 300W at 8 Ohms. Running it into a single 4 Ohms cabinet would provide more power than into a single 8 Ohm cabinet.

If you are planning on running TWO 8 Ohm cabinets (in parallel), the load would then be 4 Ohms, the same as a single 4 Ohm cabinet, and the head will push the full 500 (rated) watts.

I use 4 Ohm cabinets if I plan on running single cabs to each amp and 8 Ohm cabs if I'll be doubling up.

Thanks dude. The Mark Bass Little Mark Tube 800 is 800W at 4ohm!...Thats a lot...not sure if I should just run it full on at 4 Ohm with 1 1212L...obviously it wouldnt need turning up much!

Im inbetween the LM3 and the Tube 800....so Ive gotta choose the head and which 1212L as well.

Just need to make sure I get the 'right' cab...although getting two to gig at once might take the point out of buying a small lightweight cab.

That's why I went the route I did with these. I can take both cabs and both heads when I need them, the 410R and one head or the 1210L and one head, depending on need. No matter what, I'll always be running at 4 Ohms.

But truth be told, since my whole rack weighs less than 30 pounds I won't bother taking a single head ever again, just pick and choose which one I'll be using on a given night. (An added bonus is that I'll always have a backup head too. :))

I've worried recently over the unlikely event that my amp dies at a gig and want to have a back up for my own peice of mind. This method is straight forward and addresses the back up and basically bi-amping two cabs. This provides a lot of options. I dig this approach. Thanks for sharing.

You're quite welcome. I've never had a head die on me at a gig but a couple of years ago I went to see my son's band play. The band before them was setting up and the guitarist couldn't get any sound out of his amp. First they all checked the cables (which I thought was a bit odd since the unit wasn't even powering up), then they checked the power connections and finally figured out that the problem was a blown fuse. After a ten minute delay that made them look like the Keystone Cops they finally started to play.

I don't ever want to be in that situation. With the two heads, if something is wrong with the first head all I need to do is unplug the Speakon cable, plug it into the second head, then select the second amp on the footswitch. Thirty seconds later, I'm ready to continue. I'll figure out what the problem is AFTER the show.

Hey, got my order in for 2 15+L's. They should be delivered just in time for some upcoming outdor shows.:hyper:

I have the luxury of not having to sell my 1215L to fund these, so I'll be a/b ing them just for the sake of science. Of course I'll be making a big ass Schroeder stack out of all these too. Can't resist! I expect to be selling the 1215 tho, just a heads up in case anyone is looking for one.

I've had these for a couple weeks and have been really digging them. With my Darkstar equipped bass they just ooze a Francis "Rocco" Prestia vibe. I've got an older 410 that predates the R/L designations as well, but no photos of that one unfortunately. The 15-stack has taken over for it, but I haven't done a proper A/B between the two cabs outside of the general comments about the two cabs I made in my review thread. Maybe I'll get that done this weekend and post my results.
