Got a great deal at GC on these two so I couldn't pass them up.

Instead of taking my own picture, hope you don't mind if I use yours. The j-bass only, currently saving for a P.

In that case it's time for the stake and torches.;)

We don't like DOUBLE-AGENTS!!!!!! GUITARD! We'd eat you but you probably have gone stale from the massive ammounts of (show-offy-know-it-all-control-freak-moron)ness. I mean look at all those guitars!

Sadly it was my lack of (show-offy-know-it-all-control-freak-moron)ness which led me to love the bass so much more. And how come nobody's having a go at my banjo or mandolin? :bawl:

Happy the 'faker fooled someone, it isn't that good a fake.

Nice! These guitars are at the top of the list when it comes to quality v. cost. I've got the 60's P and it's one of my favorites.

I agree. The P bass's neck is what sold it for me. Flatter front to back than any of the other P basses I tried, and I tried all of them in the store. It was just nicer feeling overall. And it's got that P bass tone. Even more so than the MIM. I'm definitely happy with my purchase. And I didn't have to spend $1000+ for each of them.

More low quality pix....

The top is my 1993 MIJ 60's Reissue. I love this bass. Upgraded with Dimarzio Ultra Jazz pups, a Gotoh bridge and Hipshot detuner.

The bottom is a recent acquisition - I wanted to try expanding to a 5, so I found this online at Guitar Center - $140 shipped. Electronics are in great shape, but the frets and fretboard needed some serious TLC. A few hours of tweaking, scrubbing, polishing, and it looks like new. Next up is shielding and some new pots.

Time for a repost!
