Ah, in that case, black, or black pearl on the P as well.
P - covers, tort guard.
J - strip, refinish in something different, black hardware, gold, something.
And of course Dark, it was a comment in love.

The P bass came with a bridge cover, but I took it off. Never cared for covers on P basses. I like the neck cover only on a J bass but that's it. I could do that to the J and do black hardware maybe...Hmmm.

Stripped natural
Black hardware
White pup covers
Hm.. That may come into effect in the Warmoth thread..
hmmm Oly White and a tort guard is one of those classic combos on the Jazz
I guess I am in the minority in thinking the Jazz looks great as it is
as for the Sonic Blue P Bass
thats tough one
I know someone here had a CIJ SB Jazz with a pearl guard that was a looker
and theres GOLD anodized which is unique but not for everyone

I can tell you right now that "stripped natural" isn't going to happen with a Squier. LOL I'd be afraid to see what kind of wood is under that paint. Plus it's basswood, so it would be blah anyway.

Didnt think so. Im just saying Squier bodies are made of many pieces of joined wood.

I'd leave them both just the way they are, personally. If the sound leaves a bit to be desired, then new pups, but the aesthetics of those are hot.
