What is that Rick? Never seen one like that before...

Well, that is an interesting story.

That bass is a copy/original of an early model Rickenbacker 3000 (I believe from the 70's and 80's) they were short scale passive basses. Rickenbacker also made a 3001 that was the same bass but in 34" scale.

Mine is a copy (the wood) with original Rickenbacker tuners, pickup, bridge (which I replaced with the Hipshot) and strap buttons (replaced with Schaller strap locks). Also, I got the components and had the original controls duplicated. When I got it - there were really cheap controls in it and sounded bad and were noisy. I changed the knobs to the 4001 type which I like better. Not sure about the pick plate or headstock plate (but think that is also a copy).

I also shielded the control/pickup cavity. It is a great playing and sounding bass, but that is why in the past posts - I never call it a Rickenbacker.

I went back and named it Rick Original Copy.

And that is all I know.

The G4 is a mid-scale bass 32"

That is sweet. Was it expensive going from scratch? Pickguard gives it an old vinyl feel.
What made you put the point on the bottom?

It was not cheap because of the specs included, about 1K but it worth this is a unique design based on several models that I like, between the classic JB and a Dingwall, as too the vinyl point on the bottom its purely aesthetics reason (the radius of a vinyl long play does not gives many chances for that pickguard design) Thanks!

Thanks! It is active it's: volume (pull for passive), blend, bass, treble

It is the AlBridge. And in the specs, it says it is Bell Bronze and not brass. But they are super light and work really nice.
