Can you tell us about the strings? How do you like them?View attachment 5188649 Reverend FatFish..I put a Dimarzio DP 296 Relentless Middle in the neck position and a Delano PMVC 4 FE/M2 in the bridge position. It has the original electronics...500 Ohm volume and the dual gang blend knob 500 Ohm....I removed the tone knob and put MTD Super polished string on it.The bass weighs in at 7Lbs 13 oz.
I have been playing ecb 82 Chromes on this bass for 2 years but with a different pickup configuration....But to answer the question about the strings..They are not a smooth as the Chromes but they are brighter for sure...but I will not know until they are on for a while to see if they will hold up.Can you tell us about the strings? How do you like them?
@LennyJ How do the Wattplower and Fallout compare tonally ?
Here are my 2 holdouts: 63 P and not sure when 70's Jazz.

The P bass is going to get its original bridge and tone pot back once I actually dig them up. It will keep its 20+ y.o Deep Talkin Flats.
Also just added a John East J tone preamp to theJazzbass It sounds great and is versatile. It has attenuation for each pickup so I'll probably reinstall the original single coils, which were kinda quiet.
Anyway, am super stoked that I held on to these two and playing again is a gas! Cheers-
@LennyJ Totally agree on the OMG mode. I had an old L1000 and later L2000 and 2500's. OMG mode was not it for me either.

What is that Rick? Never seen one like that before...Here they are only missing one - a red version of the 32 Conversion P bass.
