The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

A couple of things have changed over this past year or so.

After several basses passing through my front door I have arrived at what I think are "keepers" in every sense of the word.

A 2014 Fender Standard Precision and a 2013 SBMM Ray34CA.
Both were received as trades and both have far exceeded my expectations. Sterlings seem to get a bad rap around here and maybe what I ended up with is an exception because, in my opinion, it's a fantastic bass with loads of tonal possibilities. Between it and the Precision, I do not need or want anything else.

The amp is not mine. It comes with the rehearsal room, and is... well... kinda limited. But somehow the Peavey is growing on me.

I just finished this. Squier Paranormal Jazz 54'. Mod include new bridge, strap buttons, multiply guard, abalone dots, Hipshot ultralite tuners and string tree. Incredible how nice a Squier is. This is nicer than a lot of more expensive fenders. So glad to find the rare white model. Im very pleased. 9lbs, 6oz. Plays great. Low action, fast fingerboard. Gonna be fun.

You should be able to get low and fast w the action. Enjoy. What are they calling that finish?

For some reason 19 gels with me. Modding necks to get 19 is prob not that typical I guess. I never understood 20 being a flat 6 of the open string. If you gonna do a 6th why not 21. Anyhow I like me boards to end on a 5th. It was the Mustang and it's offshoots that got me thinking 19. If anyone knows of or has a bass with 19 then I bet you do. Did you see I sold the 1985 mij Quest Atak 1B. Went to a good home. I'm officially mij'less. Wonder how long that will last. Well sticking to a budget it could be awhile. But you know how da Gas works he he

I have 20, 21, 22 and 24 fret necks (no 19) but never really think about it because I don't spend a lot of time in the higher altitude. :)
