Interesting! are the two single coil humcancelling when paired?Just got this back today! Squier Paranormal '54 J Bass, with an Artec mudbucker, SD Custom Shop Single Coil P Bass pickup and a SD Quarter Pounder in the bridge. Also upgraded with a Fender Hi-Mass bridge. This thing sounds massive!
Yup! The P Bass coil is RWRP so you get hum cancelling and the midrange scoop when you have both of them on.
Just completed the finishing touches on this incredible find. 2008 Czech Elrick NJS-4. Added a custom screwless guard from Pickguardian.com. Plays like a dream. Sounds like……..a boutique bass….Fodera, Smith…..crazy clear tone. Couldn’t be happier.

Well - I will post this here first, before I post on the Cat bass page to avoid all the bad feedback I am going to get.
I had a black cat bass a while back and I am not into black basses, and I did not like the tone selections of the buttons. So, I sold it, but here is my new modified Cat bass.

I hadn't played my Honeyburst L-2500 in quite some time, so I decided to show it some love this afternoon. It plays like a dream and sounds like thunder. I have the action super low with a set of Cobalt Flats. The pickups are some of the hottest ever made and it sustains for days with that saddle-lock bridge. But after 45 minutes, I was sweating. This bad boy is 11 lbs 8 ozs. Even with a 4-1/2" Levi strap, it is still quite a load.
It's beautiful to look at, but I guess I'm just not as young as I us to be. I don't think I could wear for 4 hours. I need something in the 8 or 9s. It was Leo's last creation, so I need it in my collection.

After months and months on backorder my Viola case just arrived. It's Epiphone branded; well padded; heavy-duty latches and hinges; perfectly fitted to the bass; spacious storage. I'm well pleased, although I miss the days when guitars came with cases.
After years of wanting one (and the wanting falling off of my radar for some time) I finally snagged a brand new Duff McKagan Signature bass- gotta say, it’s far exceeded my expectations in every department. Fit, finish and TONE omg. I’d recently sworn off PJs lol but this particular model is simply magical. There’s a sweet mid-grind that’s unique enough to warrant a look, if you’re on the fence I say go for it!

So I'm only 3 months in to learning how to play the bass. I'm enjoying it immensely and I have two basses, which while are nowhere in the league of the beautiful instruments on display on this forum, I really like them.
This is my Harley Benton JB-75 NA. Amazing bass for the money, but she weighs a bit! My brother has some DiMarzio Area J pickups we can install at some point, but the stock pickups sound good so there's no rush.
Second, is my new this week Squier Sonic Precision in Sunburst. I went for the Sonic, as I have quite small hands and prefer the Jazz neck profile, which this has
