Now a somewhat more highly polished t---d. The neck was someone elses botched tuner upgrade. If you look closely, you can see the added wood in the headstock. I was able to get good wood for the repair and the rest of the project turned out real well. The knobs courtesy of my guitarist, Andy G. This one set up near perfect. Big fun to play.

I have a late '80s Saunders P neck that I bought NOS years ago. It too has 'crazy maple" figuring. Story goes Saunders was a boutique builder then and commissioned the newly started FCS to make them. It's a very nice neck so I tend to believe it.

After purchasing that one for $67 (!) I saw another one with similar grain come up but was out-bid. Must have had a batch of that crazy-grained maple to work with then.

I ordered it and sent a picture of divines bass, guess you could call me a copy cat. the neck is between a jazz and p bass maybe a modern c neck?
