This is a six string Zeus.
Body is Chambered Swamp Ash
Top is 7a Burled Maple
Finish is Reverse Monster (By Jeff Kiesel)
Neck is Roasted Flamed Maple
Fretboard is Purple Flamed Maple (By Kaila Kiesel)
Jumbo Stainless Frets.
Gloss top coat.
Tung Oil Neck

Weight is 8lbs 4oz.

Haha. That made my day. Fuzzy ToeBean is my dnd character (I’ve been a DM for years but he’s my only character I got to be a player for). He is a fat tabaxi drakewarden ranger whose village worshiped the great chicken (a dragon). He has a loose sense of morality, steals trinkets and money he gives to local orphanages, and gets into trouble for calling dragons chickens even though he considers it the highest form of respect. When his village was destroyed he fled with the last chicken egg which hatched into his beloved pet chicken (dragon) named chuckles.

His bravest moment was purposely getting swallowed to save his friend who got eaten by a kraken. Sadly he had no plan on how to get them out but before they died remembered he had a potion of industrial strength laxative (he stole two vials of an unknown potion a year before and the DM thought it would be funny to make it a laxative but after finding that out and pooping his pants he kept a bottle). If you can’t get out the front. Go out the back.

Ibanez Mikro GSRM20b, with D'Addario black nylon flatwounds.

Lovely little shortscale on a budget.

The stock pickups on this bass are quite loud, clear & punchy.
The flats temper it a little bit, and they do sound good, actually.
A great small short scale bass, ideal to play Joy Division/New Order covers on, to be honest, that's what I use it most for.

I’m coming off a 34-37 Spector 5 so I’m loving the shorter scale. Open B sounds good and everything is a hair looser which is nice for bends. I’ve not noticed any issues for sustain or buzz.

How difficult was it to adjust to a fanned fretboard before? I've never tried one.

It’s not. Your fingers naturally fan that way towards the head. It’s honestly instant. I picked it up and barely noticed. At practice another bass player’s guitar had a bad jack so I let him borrow my Spector. He went from a fender jazz to my 34-37 Spector playing higher ground and it was instant.

The only area it’s weird is above the 15th or 18th fret if you’re doing chords.

A bigger adjustment was headless. You just think you’re higher up than you are because the distance from the top of the head is so off. You don’t realize just how much you use the headstock as a reference. I’d think I was at the 3rd fret but I’d be at the 5th. If I don’t look it’s fine. But it’ll be an adjustment when I’m looking.

Tort or black? Finish is black with gold sparkles. So over the top, but I love how it plays.

It’s not.

That's what I found out when I first tried this guitar (which I bought almost on the spot; it took a lunch break to make the decision).

Recently picked up for just under $57 on eBay. Had some issues to work out, but once I got them sorted it plays fairly well. Still pretty much stock. Couldn't adjust pickup height because of the screw angles, so while I had them out, I shielded the cavities, filled and redrilled the holes, tossed the foam and put springs instead. Swapped out the knobs for something different I had laying around. The Glarry logo on the headstock was barely there and looked smudged (probably part of the reason I got it so cheap). I repainted the headstock and added a "JC Bass" logo I had leftover from a kit build I did. I cleaned up the abundance of extra wire in the control cavity, too, because it looked like a rats nest inside the cavity. This is bass #17 in the herd, a Glarry GW101.

No, it's actually 25.5" scale. Same as a Fender guitar. It's TIGHT in those upper registers and my muscle memory has me putting fingers one fret off from where they should be.

It's kind of a fun little novelty, but very unsure of it's value. Not sure I would ever pay the full price they ask for these, but for just under $57, I'm good with it.

Some of you may recall seeing this Wal MK2 tribute bass posted here a couple months ago. This is my Sylwa TC2. Made by a luthier in Maine. As far as I know, this is his first to be sold publicly. I was skeptical for that reason, but I took a shot on it and it blew my expectations away. These electronics are just killer, and the craftsmanship is top notch. it's got Herrick multicoil pickups (wired just like the Wal pups), Lusithand double NFP filter preamp MKIII with the matching replica Wal knobs, Hipshot bridge and string retainer, Schaller tuners, graphtceh nut. Same materials as the real one. Birdseye maple caps and mahogany core. 5 layer laminated mahogany/maple neck. It compliments my Justin chancellor rig very, very nicely.
