I’ll see your 59 and raise you 60. A mid-year 65 which I bought over 10 years ago. It’s now had two owners…This J is 59 years old

First time I've had all my basses in one place, and so first "family snapshot" in over 15 years!
from left to right:
- Schecter Stiletto Studio 8 (no idea what year, bought it 2nd hand around 2016)
- Modulus Graphite Quantum-6 SPX (bought new, made for me in 1988)
- Warmoth Frankenbass (fretless 5-string neck is from <1996, body is from 2014, built by me between 2014 and 2024 with help from Paul Nieto of GuitarWorks NYC)
- Lakland Skyline 55-02D (can't remember what year it's from, whenever the last year the Skylines were built in Korea? Got it 2nd hand around 2010)
- Rob Allen MB-2 (bought new, made for me in 2007)
- Breedlove Pursuit Exotic S Concerto (bought new in 2022)
- Schecter Venus B4 (circa 1983-85, bought 2nd hand in 1995)
- Steinberger L-2 (bought new in 1982)

Number 25 out of 25 BFR all rosewood neck for Music Man 25th Anniversary
Got this US-made Peavey Axcelerator for low bread. It's got a slight warp in the fretboard, but I'm getting by it with a trust rod twist and raising the low action just enough. Maybe a fret leveling later... There's a split in the back of the neck, I'll get a syringe and dilute some Tite-Bond III to fix that up.
It feels great to play, sounds really good. And it's got a tilted-back headstock which I really like.
Balances great, it's light, for me it's a winner.
There's some kind of bubbling in the finish, not sure what that's about, but I think some 400 grit wet sandpaper and a rattle can of Rust-Oleum might help that out.
