The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

My latest toy
While I was in town waiting to pick up my sons SX SWB-1 from my guitar tech I went to the other guitar store here in Manchester UK. Johnny Roadhouse Music, this store has been around since the late 50's and is still family run, I'm know in most of the guitar stores around manchester and have been going in Johnny's for the last 40 years (I even went on their last xmas staff outing) while I was in there I was talking to the owners wife while looking at the pre-owned basses including a couple of Ibanez's. Mainly a SRX-360 in black and a SRX-500 in faded sunburst. I never look at the prices until I'm fairly certain of what I want so when I narrowed it down to these two I check the tags. the black SRX-360 was £229 (£200 for cash to me) and I was really tempted, I used to own the samel model and really regretted letting go, then I looked at the tag for the SRX-500 which was £179. both were virtually flawless and played great but at £179 for the next model up it was a no brainer. once I got it to the till I got another suprise - the 500 had a hard case and then Jill (the owners wife) knocked off another £24 cause one of the knobs was slightly different - So £155 all in.

Here’s my collection update!

Happy to get back my Bluesman Vintage P4 a good friend and Talkbass member had for a little while. I got new from John Scott back in 2023 / early 2024…and it arrived back at my home on Friday!

The other two are my Dave Reimer 4s that I keep shouting out about on here!
They’re amazing basses, built right in Vancouver and are excellent value.

I sold off a couple of great 5ers and just have a 2023 EBMM Stingray Special 5 that I’ve listed. Really loving passive basses lately!

First time I've had all my basses in one place, and so first "family snapshot" in over 15 years!

Like the L-2 :) ! We don't see many of those for sale these days in Europe ... and when we do, they're usually dogs 😣.

I’ll play.

And yes, there is a non-bass hidden amongst them.
