Newest acquisition to the herd. Got a great deal from a fellow TB'r because it needed some work. Truss rod was frozen and now repaired. Some body stress cracks now repaired. I also chose to change out electronics and shield everything. I've owned these before and they can be notorious for radio interference.
Now sporting EMG's new X series and controls VVT. Plays like new with really low action and super quiet with tremendous growl.

Both are loaded with EMG DC pickups (40DC's in the Defiant and 45DC's in the HXB). The Defiant is wired for independent volume controls and a master tone control. The HXB has an EMG BQC system bass preamp installed. The Defiant is tuned F#-B-E-A-D with Kalium Hybrid strings (67-174 gauge) and the HXB is tuned B-E-A-D-G-C with D'Addario ProSteel strings (30-130 gauge).

Why does the Brice Defiant say "Agile" on the headstock?Aren't the two different brands?

The Defiant was purchased from the very first batch Kurt from Rondo Music made. If I am not mistaken, all of the very first batch of those 53437 models had "Agile" on the headstock instead of "Brice". Rondo Music owns both brands, so I assume this happens from time to time.
