I'm only talking about the Czech made instruments. There are at least three different runs with slight changes. Different tuners, 2/3/4 piece body. But the most significant difference is the headstock that was angled on the early ones and then went south...
One thing that was never clear was if there's graphite bars in the necks. It's possible that some have it and some don't.
Here are the USA versions and another Korean or Chinese version
Unfortunately I do not currently have all the back catalogs, but I am working on it.
Also, there is a Dean JB Patchwork on GC used page for $899.00 Sometimes the GC stores know what they have.
I also do not have pix of all the models showing whether the headstock is angle or not, but I am aware of the headstocks that had very little angle having problems.

Now, you're probably asking what is the big deal? Why is this nut job posting all of this? Why, because I don't want anyone, especially fellow TB-ers getting ripped off. Only the USA made and the Czech made versions of this are worth buying at a higher premium price and as stated above by 'RONEN', the ones with the less angled headstock have issues.
The Korean ones are nice, and I can't comment on the Chinese ones, which are a surprise to me as they have 4 knobs and some have an added switch. Don't spend more than $300 to $350 for a Korean or Chinese one. Even less if a case is not included.
I must have a copy of pix of the Korean ones on a different computer. Hopefully I'll find them to post later today.

Maybe some of these are owner mods? Maybe not?

Which one do you think sounds best the stackknob or the Jaco?? (IMHO the one on the left) the Jaco is just a collectorsitem, just that. Do you find the Cites PF board as uggly as I do
My Latest queen, an all original 73 with long G screw. This one growls a lot.

If your stagesound sucks, play this Elite P-bass, it make’s The FOH want’s to kill you when you think is time to turn some 18V Fender pre-amp mids in the mix.
I love this bass while on the Road.

I saw that and have been e-mailing GC over the last two weeks. No response. I'd agree with you, but the picture is so dark that you can't tell what it is. You can't see Barts or Badass II Bridge and no back of neck shot to see where it is made. All in all I sent them 7 messages and not one single response. If this is a Chinese or a Korean model then it is not a good deal at all. I guess I'll actually have to do it the old fashioned way and make a phone call.
[edit] I called a few minutes ago. It is Czech made, has Barts, has Shaller Tuners, but a Wilkinson bridge. I guess the PO didn't like the Badass II or cannibalized it for another bass? Not sure why'd you swap out a BA II for a Wilkinson? I didn't ask about the angle of the headstock though. So it is a decent price for the almost real deal.

I discovered Nelson Guitars on Instagram a few years ago, got a 6 string Provacateur (not a bass)and loved it, decided to sell my Lakland Decade Skyline and order one of his Paramount 33.25" scale length models. It's nice and light and balances well, no neck dive. He winds his own pickups, secret recipe but they're full and clear and the controls have great taper and useful range

So I put the fiver back in the case, in the closet, and traded it out for my Paradigm single cut 4-string. I also wall-mounted it (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A2WZJDE) to keep it away from the baby.

If that ruler wasn't moved between the 2 pictures - it looks more like 34.5" scale. As far as I know the scale is measured from the dead bottom of the nut to the center of the saddles. Since saddles will always be staggered (E over 34"/G under or at 34") I gauge 34" at the A/D mid point. In fact, it looks like all the saddles are at the top end of the bridge... was this bass ever intoned?
