So I modified the Affinity JV with a new neck from a VMJV...the original neck was giving me lots of problems and had a slight twist in it...basically garbage.
I also have a beater Squier Affinity JV, with Carvin HB bridge pickup and the same Series/N.Coil/S.Coil wiring with .1mf cap. All passive controls, SD QP neck pickup. This one might become fretless one day...
...and I am seriously loving this bass. The new neck changed how the bass feels and sounds. This was supposed to be a beater bass that I kept in my work truck, so I can jam on during lunch. I'm seriously starting to reconsider that, and perhaps keep the Dean in the truck. At this point, it's my least favorite of the bunch...it's a 35" scale and it requires a long reach to access 1st fret....I'm like 5'6"-or-7"...I really have to stretch...and the tendinitis in my elbows isn't helping...
Just bought my first 'real' bass (after a Frankenstein Fender fretless and a Squier I gave away). What a huge improvement, both in sound and playability. It's built by Dutch luthier Van der End, I got it for a really fair price second hand. I (re-)replaced the high mass bridge the previous owner put on for a vintage style one - much nicer.

Very nice. I love classic Jazz Bass knobs. I think you should keep them.

What model is the dean? Im always lookin for different 35" scale basses. I didn't know Dean made one!
WOW!!! Looks good!My '64 P and a SB-12 I purchased a few days ago. They go together nicely indeed!
This was discontinued in about '09 or '10, the Sledgehammer. Was offered in ash/maple or all mahogany with ebony fb.
There was also a 4-string, which I believe was also 35"...

Pedulla from 1976 (Orsini, made expressly for E.H. Wurlitzer)
Pedulla MVP5 in peacock blue finish from 1992 (soon to be strung up in E-A-D-G-C tuning)

Pedulla Pentabuzz in vintage cherry burst finish from 2016
Not all basses are Pedulla's though:

Fender Precision and Fender Jazz from 1985 (Japan, Fujigen), both modified with Bill Lawrence pickups and custom pickguards my dad made:

Somehow a Pedulla guitar, Pedulla Thunderbolt 6 string and a Pedulla Pentabuzz managed to leave the house...

That there is some interesting Eye-Candy. I completely understand your obsession/addiction Mr. Padullist. I know a gentleman here locally in the Springfield/Dayton, Ohio who has been bitten by the same affliction. We call him Pedulla Dan and I don't remember ever playing one of his basses and that's probably a good thing for me. If I remember correctly he had a heard of Alembic instruments also.
I'm still looking for a Sugar-Momma but in the meantime I'll just keep toying with my cheap Squiers and parts Basses. I did just recently buy a Schecter dUg Pinnick Baron H signature Bass, the 1st brand new Bass I've purchased in 20 years and it's my current obsession.

Don't know if it will count for a bass really, but just stringed my cheap Epiphone Special SG electric guitar with baritone strings yesterday, tuned it A-A, gave it the needed new setup after the change to much heavier strings, as well as put some black chicken head knobs on, instead of the stock knobs.
So now I am officially without any electric guitar.
Beside this, I also own an Ibanez Mikro, which is my main bass, and an old beat up Aria Pro II Laser Electric Classic with active pickups, my first bass and main bass for years, now modded to kind of a baritone slide bass tuned C (1½ step above a guitar A string)- C (an octave below) - G (same as a bass G string)- C (same pitch as the first C).
Both of which I already have posted pictures of, as far as I remember, at least the Mikro.
Anyway, here is my "new" baritone:
So now I am officially without any electric guitar.

Replaced the pickguard om my StingRay 5 with something a bit more modest that only covers the control cavity, it's a crime to hide such a nice piece of wood underneath a big white plastic sheet!
