Sorry, I didn't see your reply earlier. That's a sweet Strat! I can't really see from the picture, is it Lake Placid Blue?

Love the relic job!

I also have a AVRI '62 in a Sea Foam Green that I stripped completely and had refinished by Mark Jenny at MJT Guitars.

Got my first bass guitar on Friday and took all the stickers off when I got home. It's fun to play and as a guitarist I'm looking forward to learning a new instrument and eventually working it into home recording.

I got it from WD Music. It’s designed specifically for use with 57/58 Reissues, as well as Roadworn and Classic series P’s. You can choose either super thin, or the normal .90 thickness (same as a three ply guard). Actually, you can choose darn near any option! It has the mounting holes for the covers and tug bar pre drilled and they come shielded. They aren’t that cheap, but they’re a perfect fit. I’m actually debating going with a white or mint guard for this bass, although the black is a classic look.

Some people dig the sticker thing. That's fine and all, but someone who covers the truss rod access needs to reevaluate their priorities. You have done a good thing for that bass.

Thanks! It's just some random turquoise colour and luckily I found a pretty close match for the headstock.

So, the black one a late 70's? w/added BA bridge & (?) pu's? - and the white one a collection of J parts with maybe a vintage Fender body/pg
control plate and some sort of custom/aftermarket neck? Just guessing studying the pic.

I love my Precision Deluxe Special Edition, but I never liked the white pickguard, so I decided to change it:

Now all three of my basses sport black pickguards. I went with a non-Fender pickguard in this case, and unfortunately that caused some issues. The holes for the controls were too small, and the area surrounding the neck doesn’t quite fit right. I’ll have to take it off at some point and fix that issue but for now it does the job.

NBD - Over the weekend I picked up this beautiful Sandberg California TM-4 - What an absolutely beautiful bass. The ebony neck is a real joy to play.

Below she's posing alongside my Sandberg "Forty Eight" ... They are getting a long very well I might ad :-)

FWIW, Sandberg makes some exceptionally awesome basses. If you are in the market for a J or a P or a MM ... Do yourself a favor and try a Sandberg before you commit, you might be happy you did

The black one: Geddy Lee body, upgraded electronics, Fender N3 pups, MIM 70's RI neck, 1978 tuners. White one: Not sure if its a Fender body, SWEET Warmoth neck(I painted the headstock and applied the decal), 60's reverse tuners, Duncan 1/4 pounder pups. They are both kinda muts but they are top quality in all ways!

I was taking pictures of my basses this evening. Quick shoot in the middle of something else. Well:

In the very back: 1974 and 1978 Fender Telecaster basses, in front of these, 1974 Fender Precision bass.

On stands, in the rear: Parts fretless Jazz (Squier CV body, ESP neck), 1983 G & L L-1000 (mahogany body), Parts-G&L-SB 2 (1989 body, 1984 neck).

Front row on stands: Finnish Guitar Works Custom Cowpoke and Piano Black Precisions, 1984 G & L El Toro, Parts ASAT-Jazz (Squier body, G & L ASAT Bass neck).

On the floor: Parts ASAT-Jazz (Luthier-made body, ASAT Bass neck).
