I was taking pictures of my basses this evening. Quick shoot in the middle of something else. Well:

In the very back: 1974 and 1978 Fender Telecaster basses, in front of these, 1974 Fender Precision bass.

On stands, in the rear: Parts fretless Jazz (Squier CV body, ESP neck), 1983 G & L L-1000 (mahogany body), Parts-G&L-SB 2 (1989 body, 1984 neck).

Front row on stands: Finnish Guitar Works Custom Cowpoke and Piano Black Precisions, 1984 G & L El Toro, Parts ASAT-Jazz (Squier body, G & L ASAT Bass neck).

On the floor: Parts ASAT-Jazz (Luthier-made body, ASAT Bass neck).

That’s quite a crew! A gang of basses.

I really loved the (accidental) Twin Peaks reference, but probably you don't know what I'm talking about.
Everything is Twin Peaks related in my twisted mind.

Loved that show... often imitated, but not yet duplicated...

Finally scored a P bass. Now the Yin/Yang thing is complete.

Definitely need to replace the mint pickguard. I'm thinking either black, red tort or gold anodized.

My original plan was red tort to match the J bass, but then I started looking at pictures online. The black is cool, but the gold seems to catch the lights.

Put black on both of them, then you have a pair of tuxedo basses.

I’d be tempted to go with the black, to go with the Jazz...but I think the white on white looks great.
I don’t know that I’d swap it out at all... .02...
