That's a hybrid of sorts.... The body is a Fender Blacktop Jazz Bass and the neck is from a Squier Classic Vibe Jazz Bass, which I went ahead and sanded the finish off of the back of the neck, painted the headstock white and turned it into a "Fender Jazz Bass" with custom water slide decals under 15 coats of Deft polyurethane.
It is a dual-output mono/stereo (Fend-O-Sound) with the stock pickups, volume only, no tone pots and an original style bridge. It plays great and it sounds killer too. The only thing I might ever consider is maybe upgrading the pickups some day, but I really don't know what would sound good to my ears. It's really not a "Working Man's Bass" because I'm not in a band but it would be if I were.
