That is an Elite isn't it ? I've never seen one with that beautiful of a fretboard on it. WOW ! Where did you find that one at. You must have a hook up.

Correctly spotted. Fender American Elite Precision. Natural Ash with maple neck/fretboard.

I managed to track down only one of that particular flavour in country, sitting in Fender's wharehouse. My hookup was the shop that managed to out-do the others and give me the best deal on it.

Did you just get lucky or Blessed ??
Could you possibly post a few more close-ups of that fretboard just so I know it's not photo-shopped ? ;)

It is nice. Kinda...I dunno...tiger stripe-ish or something? Nice grain, either way.

Nighttime here right now so not sure it will show that well under artificial light. If not, I'll snap some shots of the neck in natural light for you tomorrow.

Beautiful! Not sure if it's the pic, or not... is the fretboard as round as it looks? Radius?

Jeez...I just put the bloody thing back in it's case...

I could just say "yep, the whole neck/fretboard creates a perfect cylinder" but because it's you, Spidey, I'll try to shoot a pic gauging the fretboard profile.

Must have just been a trick of the light.

View attachment 3007756 Seems to roll off a bit towards the edges but not a particularly curved relief overall.

Back in the case? On a beautiful morning, such as this? At the very least man, you owe it to yourself, and your neighbors, to cover up with your best terry cloth shorts, head out to the veranda, and sip a mint julep while jamming on that thing...

... the bass, @G-Z... the bass.

Thanks for the pic, brother! Again, beautiful! The specs on Fender's site states:

9.5" to 14" Compound Radius (241 mm-355.6 mm)...

... is this an option, between the two, or can it be anything in between? From the 2nd pics, your's looks to be more toward 14", than 9" (flattery will get you everywhere)... Sorry for so many questions... I'm trying to be productive, at work...

I live in the future...It's almost 10pm on Sunday night here and Winter is coming.

I think those specs may be have more to do with the "C to D" neck profile than any particular fretboard weirdness or neck options. Elite neck has a traditional C relief at the nut, tapering to more modern D at the body end of the stick.
