I recently purchased this Ibanez GSR206 from my local Guitar Center after wanting to try out a six-string bass for a while. I played around with it in the store and found it to be much less difficult to play than I assumed a 6-string would be. I was also impressed by the flat walnut finish and it's overall quality build for a budget instrument.
Have to say I’m not a huge fan of the Phat II EQ. It's not terrible but I’m already thinking about replacing it with an Audere preamp sometime since I like the rest of the bass so much and I've been wanting to try one of those anyway.
I picked the poo strap because some of my third-grade students last year were always drawing different versions of the poop emoji for each other and the strap reminded me of that class. Also the brown matches the bass well.
I have that same exact stereo system
... next pic I take will have the 'family' taking a backseat behind the stereo system...... folks, some love for the SR805... she's getting a complex, here.

That’s a sweet bass. Gotta love an Ibanez. Super fast necks I’ve had a sr300, sr506 diy Fretless. But the looks of that one blows those outta the water. Mine were Just beat up and black. There’s some love. Lol

Install some classic speakers and a tube amp head in the 805... trust me, no one will be lookin at the stereo!

That's because Streamers are a soulless attempt at copying these beautiful instruments. Haha I'm just being a jerk, but Spector did come out with this body style first. Also I don't ever recall seeing a 5 string Warwick w/ a 35" scale.

They cover a lot of ground, that is for sure. Somehow my better half has been ok with the last couple, but it is time for a couple to move on. If you cant tell I have a hard time letting things go.
I am down to my last one. But gassing for more as my midlife progresses I will build again lol.
How does the squier fit In or compare to a couple of the other jazzes tone wise?
The Squier fits in because it was my first and has sentimental value. I also have dreams of turning it into a project cause it is super noisy and the pots seem to be shot. I've tried cleaning them but they are still noisy. I think I like the neck the best, it plays really well, so I think someday I can shield it and swap electronics and get a big improvement. And maybe replace the giant all in one pickguard/control plate and strat knobs to turn it into a proper Jazz. Plus if you look closely the one thing I am missing is a Tort pickguard.
I’ve been looking at getting a p bass and making it my own as well. an affinity looks like a good platform to start from. At home they sell pretty inexpensive I may be able to convince the superintendent to let me get one. Lol
